foreverirish34
Following is a statement from Coach Rich Hansen: "As you may recall, Nyshier Oliver chose to reconsider his initial college scholarship commitment to the University of Tennessee. Since then he has taken several 'official' and 'unofficial' visits to other scholarship option schools. It is a pleasure for me to announce that last night I spoke with Head Coach and New Jersey native Charlie Weiss and committed Nyshier to the University of Notre Dame. I want to thank all who have supported Nyshier throughout his academic and athletic career at Prep. It is a great choice and proper fit for him. I now look forward to Nyshier finishing out his time at Prep in great fashion, performing on the field and in the classroom, fulfilling all of our expectations." irishziggy
BGI is also hearing the same rumors and they're looking for confirmation. Sounds like it's true esp since he was the most likely to commit.

D Fence
Odd that his coach would 'commit him', but if true that is very exciting. Thanks forever.

dangeruss
this is a great pickup for ND. he might have to redshirt his freshmen year to get bigger and stronger and learn how to run routes but this kid should be a big time slot WR for ND. im very excited about this kids future. it's to bad he'll only have two years to play with jimmy clausen. tchris555
i really like this pickup. Our staff doesn't seem to have any trouble picking up the Stovall and Samardzija wannabes (which is sweet) but it's nice to get a little burner every couple of years.... which is why i was screaming for us to offer Tate two years ago when we were dragging our feet (toots his own horn). jfschellcrna
this is a really big deal. has anybody looked at this kid's offers?? go irish.....................
hawaiiirish
yes the offer list is very impressive-- more then 30 but i like that alabama offer -- as well as a host of other premiere programs-- 4 star safety on scout only a high three star on rivals-- but charlie offered the day he decommitted from tennessee-- and you have to like the great speed--as a slot reciever or maybe return guy have to really like this-- along with the great wood and the blazing theo we are adding some firepower to a team that has alot of young skill guys already--pleased as punch with this commit!!!
