Trent Hurley '09 QB

D Fence

Recommended Posts

In the print version of B&G Illustrated I get in the mail, there was a mention about an "interested" '09 QB prospect attending the ND game unofficially named Trent Hurley. Couldn't find anything on him except the link below, and it could just be someone who likes ND but isn't D1 material, but thought I'd ask any of you Pennsylvania guys if you've heard of him.

I know it was said that Heaps was told he's the only guy we want to bring in at QB this year or next, so if that's true it'll be doubtful that any other QB offers come in.

yes, i know who trent hurley is.....he is a junior at greensburg central catholic high school is greensburg PA. He started for the Centurions this season and led them to one of their best seasons in school history. He led them to a victory over long time rival Jeannette High School(Terrelle Pryor's former high school).I understand that he has offers from Pittsburgh, Maryland, Louisville, and Notre Dame.....but he may have more.....

It's usually some sort of indicator if rivals has no picture for your profile. Don't mean to be that guy but just sayin...

Keep up hopes with Hinder and Montana, and a home state pick of Boldin from Orchard Lake St. Mary's.

I hate not getting top choices in recruiting, but thats what recruiting is. I just hate taking a guy that wouldnt originally be a top recruit and having him sit for years only to transfer, when he could have been playing elsewhere (for the players sake of playing, not for the school (scholies) or as a fan). I hope this kid, and others like him can get to a place and make a difference. I always hope the lesser known recruits become the greats, and that has happened in the past, ala Strahan.

He has offers from Delaware and Miami of Ohio (Coach Haywood). His team was up at Notre Dame last summer for the 7 on 7 and thats where Notre Dame saw Trent. He is still in contact with them. Just wanted to clear that up.
