Guest peterboy48
Per Irish Illustrated 4hl, Shaq has commited to USC but will take his visit to ND for the Purdue game. Unfortuneately ,the poster is friends with Shaq's OC on the football team so there seems to be a great deal of validity to the report. If he does come I hope we can change his mind. dangeruss
this one hurts but i can't say im not surprised. looks like ND will go another year with out signing any big time WRs. in CWs four years he's only had one recruting class with eliete WRs (2008). The Trojans are loading up on WR types. I guess we'll only take N Oliver this year as a wideout.
Donjuan
Wow, I'm surprised on that one. That's exactly the opposite from I've heard. I hope that poster is wrong.
da coach
I think Eifert is going to end up at WR...He will be a big slow wr, and struggle to get on the field, but that is where I think he is going to end up...
IrishCalves
Lets clarify here. 1. The poster isn't wrong. Just trust me on that, 'cause he's called everything that has happened in this kid's recruitment blow for blow, even before the news services get a hold of updates. 2. The poster didn't come right out and say it as such, but the description matches that of a "soft" or a "silent" verbal. Its not looking good obviously, but this isn't over either. Lets just see how this plays out. Things took an unexpected turn when he took in the USC/OSU game, and whats to say it won't do the same in South Bend. That said, looks like the visit reschedule backfired on this one. He coulda been watching Golden Tate burn the Michigan secondary last Saturday instead... darn. irishziggy
he was also feeling UCLA after they beat Tenn, so lets hope that it goes the same way with a win over Purdue
Ray Herring
It looks like Shaq is looking to join a long and storied program that consistently produces NFL busts at WR. At least he could come here and join a tradition that hasnt produced a NFL WR since Tim brown. haha

Not our fault Jeff S is a stud pitcher.

Kenja
im just hoping we still get a visit. anything can happen if we get that visit. ND will get a visit. Could end up with him. ND just does not have the shucking power right now to say "get on board now or we're leaving you" like USC. It's going to be tough because he is in southern California. A good season by ND would be a game changer for the Irish with a few kids. Some serious "po mouthing" going on against us and there is only one way to dispel it. The effects of the 3-9 season are being felt and some kids are downright skeptical. Running the Big 10 portion of our schedule will help a lot. Doing that and winning at UNC would help even more. Guest brady112106
He would be the fourth receiver in their class. Or, be one of two in our class. Oliver probably being the other. I'm very surprised about this news.

I'm very surprised about this news. Randall Carroll could also play CB, and Alshon Jeffrey is a soft commit at this time, so that number 4 isn't really set in stone
