Donjuan
Anyone else happy he rescheduled for the Purdue game? I'd hate for his visit to be soaked in rain.
Guest irishrick
Don , no big deal the Irish will win this game , i think this will keep rich-rods troops unchecked, just got to do some good hitting, thats when the rain becomes bad. Still look for an early TD and field goal to win if the weather turns really bad. go Irish

Donjuan
I'm going to have to find a superman shirt to wear for the Purdue game. I'll try to take some pics as well of all the banners that should be hanging in support of Mr. Evans. I hope we put forth a superb aerial assault!! irishziggy
Purdue will be a tough game for our defense. Running the spread with a veteran QB (Painter) and RB (Sheets). They did lost their top TE (Keller) and WRs (Bryant and someone else who slips my mind). If our defense can defend then our offense should score points. ndark
Lymon was kicked off the team. http://purdue.rivals.com/content.asp?cid=741950
ND FANATIC
I really struggling with the yardage we gave up to UM. I tend to believe that due to the weather conditions and the lead we had, our defense was instructed to play it safe, keep everyone in front of you (for the most part), let them catch it and tackle them. The MSU probably isn't going to be able to show us how good our pass defense is, since they are a run oriented offense. I think the Purdue game is going to be a true test to see where our def is, I like our offense against their def so it should be a fun one to watch.... ohioirishfan
I agree with Fanatic. I think the sloppy conditions and our own blitz scheme allowed us to give up more yards than we normally would. Michigan was able to hand off to Mcguffie inside to counter our outside blitzes. Plus I don't believe that MSU has anyone as dynamic as Mcguffie for us to contend with. It won't be an easy game for our defense, but I do think they will play better, blitz more frequently and effectively too.
1qa
Could the apparent Shaq Evan lean to USC also be related to the sudden and fast recruitment of Nyshier Oliver? I am sure Poodle was yapping in his ear that we don't really want him because of these recent developments.
Donjuan
Whenever there's still a visit, we still have hope. If he comes and still decides on USC, then it wasn't meant to be. Remember what this campus can for people. I still remember my first visit and it wasn't an official!

This game does make me nervous, more than any from this month, so I'm with you there ziggy. I thought it'd be MSU that scared me, but the closer to the season things came, the more a senior QB that can gun it like Painter scares me. Hoyer and MSU haven't impressed me much either from what I've watched, and there have been similar opinions from the writers too (and I'm not just talking about some enemy blogger thing either). Lost a lot more than I thought (Keller, Bryant, Lymon, Standeford, Jaycen Taylor to an ACL - was the ying to Kory Sheet's yang, they were splitting carries), but I dunno. Painter is pretty scary, and they did hang real tough with a ranked Oregon squad. It makes me nervous. That said, officials can change everything. Just like how USC's stock rose when Shaq visited for the OSU game, same can happen with ND if he falls in love with the rest of the school along with the product on the field. Anything is possible.
