Kenja
Another prospect a lot of people assumed was a lock for ND (there were even rumors of the dreaded "silent verbal") is very unlikely to be Irish because he simply likes other schools more. Hughes4Heisman
kenja, what are you trying to say?
TheRizz
He committed to PSU like 5 months ago - what's going on here?
tchris555
he's saying get ready for a big disapointment from (like the Shrive situation) with a player we think we have in the bag. I have no idea who he's refering to however.
Kenja
I guess I don't do cryptic well. It's not Shrive. It's a different kid with similar circumstances. Re: seemed like a ND lock based on a variety of things. Like Shrive, it is rumored he just did not like ND as well as some other schools once he visited. We'll see. ND FANATIC
I take a stab at it and say LaLota. I've read that he wants to play early at DE and isn't thrilled with the depth chart at ND....
OddThomas
No surprise here if he signs on elsewhere.
echo88
I dont think I would consider any remaining '09 targets "ND locks" but if this is referring to LaLota, it is no surprise that he is interested in another program. I think most of us have accepted that and moved on.
Katzenboyer
It's LaLota. He's going to be a Wolverine.
1qa
disappointing, but not surprising... The way Lalota's recruitment has gone... I expected him to pull the trigger early for us... if NOT, then i thought our chances diminish. Still, I'll hold out hope until it is publically declared by him
irishziggy
i kept hope for Lalota, but I knew the longer it drew out, the smaller our chances got.
El Hombre
This sucks b/c our DL is a huge weakness. figured it was coming though after all the reports out of Ann Arbor.
IrishLeopard
are there any actual reports of lalota goin to michigan, or is it just speculation?
blitzpackage
I've read on different boards, Jo Pa has been in his ear. PSU and UM are supposed to by even right now for his services.
OddThomas
Mostly speculation, but I was in Trenton last week visiting with wife's relatives and they think he is sold on the Big Ten, either Michigan or Penn State. At least that is the buzz out there.
IrishCalves
I've heard that much too. From a couple people I've spoken with, Lalota was a dreaded "silent" commit, but for reasons that weren't made clear to me, and probably won't ever be, things have changed. We're all but out of it with Lalota. And thats all I'm saying about that. That in mind, for those who subscribe to II, you have to feel pretty decent about where we stand with Chris Bonds coming into this weekend's visit. I thought we were long gone and out of the race here with him, but we may end up with the guy we offered first here after all.
Guest SHARPIE
I take a stab at it and say LaLota. I've read that he wants to play early at DE and isn't thrilled with the depth chart at ND.... Not sure why he wouldn't be, we don't have good depth at DE. Not to mention Kuntz and Brown are finished after this season, so LaLota could compete for a starting spot right away. Hopefully he goes to PSU and not Michigan. I haven't been all that impressed with Michigan's recruiting this year, but landing LaLota would be a big get for them. mcdougal93
Read about that but I didn't want to jump to any conclusions. I'm disapointed but it's time to move on. DL is a definite need for the Irish now. We only have Stockton on board and I hope Bonds has a good visit this weekend.
Guest brady112106
A win is a vital part of the "good visit this weekend."
IrishGrizz
A win would help immensly this weekend with the amount of not only uncommitted guys, but committed recruits.
