tdnd81
31-17 Mich.... Not because of last Sat. I called this a loss before the season. However if you asked last week i would have said 24-21... Don't want to be a hater but frankly we suck ass.. I hope i am wrong, obviously
Guest 66DOMER
I see this as another loss - maybe 31-10.
Guest jl72002
I'm gonna be an optimist and say we win by 10. 31-21. Maybe part of the reason our offense sucked so bad the first half was because the coach was trying not to tip his hand to UM. We could have been looking past SDSU that way and that could be part of the reason we looked so bad.
IrishGuy
I can't seem to pry these blue-and-gold colored glassed off.... I honestly think we match up very well against scUM....and scUM is going through a huge transition (almost identical to what ND had to deal with last year). They don't have the players for their system, and don't have a coach known for adapting his game plans..... I say ND 35 - UM 17 If scUM's D starts to play like they were "supposed" to, then it will be ND 20 - UM 17.

I cannot imagine the coaching staff believing that is was better to handicap the team rather than let them cut loose and gain experience with all their weapons and the confidence gained with a big, convincing win. On the other side of the same coin - I hope the players were not looking ahead. After last year, they don't have any business looking past any opponent - Saturday's game being a perfect example of why not!

SpeedsterX
Ok, I'm having a "gut feeling" and that gut feeling had been right before on this very board. Here's what I say, our D is playing well. They will cotinue to keep improving due to Tanuta. The DL MUST play tough. If CW (oops, I mean Haywood) calls the offensive plays as if BQ and company were still here, then we WILL WIN (maybe big). If it's a "Pound It" mentality, then we'll be lucky to stay close. Let the pass open up the run! Not vise-versa. If (and thats a big if) they do that, I say: ND 27 Mich 17 Note: if we try that "pound it" BS, I have to say, ND 10 Mich
mightyeskimo
24-14 ND F*** Michigan... a team of dimwitted monkeys could run an offense better than they are doing right now.

domeanddomer
Have faith my "brutha frum anutha mutha!!" I sure want to Speedy...Last Friday just wasn't faith inspiring to me. I'm affraid their defense will totally stop our run. We need to be multi dimensional to beat good teams. Yeah yeah...UM's not a good team, but I'm not convinced they STILL aren't better than us. We need to be multi dimensional to beat good teams. Yeah yeah...UM's not a good team, but I'm not convinced they STILL aren't better than us. That's why I am saying we get back to our bread and butter in the Quinn years. We have the QB, we have the receivers, we have the pass protection. Let the pass open up the run again like we did with DW (except we have 3-4 good backs now!) Hey Charlie, it's time to get back to what you love! The 4th quarter made you realize that you have the Shark back (Tate), and Stovall (Floyd), Grimes is Grimes except better and the diamond in the rough, Kamara! He will get better. Not to mention Parris, who I think could become very good! You got the horses, (Hughes, Allen, etc.) You just have a weak OL but improving. No more worries about the defense! They are in great hands with CB and Tenuta, and the ST look better than ever (although, we could give a scholly to a great kicker/punter. We're looking good, faith boys! Faith!!! (Like I said, be virtuous!) :-D Oh, and I'm assuming a more disciplined game. Cut down on the penalties boys!! echo88
Worry not, fellas. My crew and I have hatched a plan to guarantee victory against Michigan! Picture a cross between a Porky's movie and Animal House. Not really. Fun with imagination! Irish win 17-13. We will see a more organized and better executed game, I think. Michigan's D will give us fits at time and it will be painful to see Jimmy go down again. I just hope that Jimmy shows us that he can toss up a TD pass without word "fade" in the name of the play. I wanna see some passes reminiscent of Quinn to Samardzija that have some zip on em.
chirodomer
Irish by 21! Golden "Heisman" Tate takes 2 to the house! One on a kick off, punt return or reverse. The other one will be Mondo Allen. He is finally going to get his break away run that everyone has been waiting for since last year. The jitters will be gone and the irish will run away with this one. Who's going to put us away? Threet? No threat!
ND FANATIC
24-10 ND I watched the SDSU game again yesterday, and I'm of the opinion that we tried to run the ball too much, too early - hopefully we won't error the same way this week. We will never be a good running team as long as Latina is there, so we should accept that and establish the pass to set up the run, instead of the other way around.
