I have no clue as I am not an insider in any way, but there's some buzz lately across many boards.

I haven't heard any news regarding Muldoon's visit. I've heard he's not deciding anytime soon. But do expect some news on Hopkins in the next day or so. I'm not saying he committed, but we'll be hearing something soon which should tip us off to either or.

I am hearing it could be a variety of recruits...hopkins, Muldoon as well as Uzoma Nwanchuchu when he goes to camp. A lot of campus insiders are expecting committments this month from Hopkins, Huldoon, LaLota, Banks, as well as Uzoma if his visit goes well as planned.

BTW, we should hear about the visit from Muldoon by tomorrow if he committed or not

as far as the other buzz. i havent heard anything, but expect to have a kicker commit in the next few days and i also wouldnt be surprised if Banks committed on his visit.

6/28 is the visit. i think that's the same wkend lalota, stockton, & calabrese are visiting

So 3 commits Jake Golic, Carlo Calabrese & Tyler Stockton will be there while 3 offered players Mike Jones, EJ Banks, & Anthony Lalota are there.

What are your thoughts on Lalota? I dont think hes as close to commiting as everyone thinks. (All speculation) In all of the articles I have read about him he mentions lots of other schools and doesnt really seem to praise ND like hes close to a commitment. I really hope I am wrong on this. Anyone else think the same as I do?

LaLota is a stud, and I have a pretty strong inkling(new word haha) that he will be Irish on his visit because of Ty-Stock

Thoughts:

 

- Lalota is probably an Irish lean, but he's taking his time. We'd have to have a stellar visit from him to deviate from his plans with other schools, but I wouldn't expect him to pop by July unless our class really starts to take off and he's worried about saving a spot.

 

- I think Muldoon's visit put us at least on par with OSU, but again, he's going to do his homework. If he thinks PT can be had at other schools, its just a vibe but I think he might go that route. But that said, I don't see him as OSU's to lose any more. But again, pledging might be a premature notion.

 

- I haven't quite seen the same buzz you've alluded to, but that in mind, the commit chatter I've heard that makes most sense involves our kicking situation and Banks. The former is based off of information I've gathered/read, and the latter is trying to put two and two together. I think OSU has a good chance of filling up at DB, and that Banks will be left with ND as the other favorite still in it.

 

- The Chris Watt recruitment continues to be hard to follow. My advice is, with all the perspectives I've read and heard out there, don't believe anything unless it's coming from Chris's mouth. Way too much smoke, and not near enough fire, let alone embers for that matter. Something "should" have happened by now, and it hasn't, so sit tight with Watt, but don't sip the ND Kool-Aid thinking about this this kid either. JMO.

Calves - with Watt, my nephew played with him and they are decent friends. They work out together too. Didn't get as many details as I would have liked at a cookout yesterday, but it sounds like Watt is really not close to deciding. While I thought that was not great news to us, I don't think he is that sold on OSU either at this point. Don't count out Northwestern as he might be interested in playing with his older brother again.

 

I got the feeling it will be a long way off on him deciding unless other things happen like we'e gettting really tight with numbers. But even then, I would have to think he would be one of those guys this year we'd "hold a spot for".

What boards are you eluding to? I have not heard a ton of "buzz"

Nothing being reported thus far as far as an offer goes for Nicholas Tauch. I would expect something to surface within a day or two regarding a kicker, IMO.

What are the reports on Tauch and Hopkins? Who is the better kicker? Who has more power? Who is more accurate?

Does the staff just want a K now.. and they have these prospects as even? Is that why they are wanting Hopkins to commit now?
