Hey guys, I've been away awhile, but it is good to be back. The question I am posing is who do you think we will actually get to commit, not who we wish would. Below is my list.

RB- we are done

QB - we wait till next year

TE - Gabe Ikard to go with Golic

WR - Marlon Brown, I know this is a longshot, but I think it can happen

- probably a second one, not sure though, it won't be an elite guy though

OT - Nixon, Schofield, and Martin

OG - Bullard, Watt

DL - Roh, Lalota, and Holmes to go with Stockton

LB- Fox, Barrett, and I think we have an outside shot with Te'o

Secondary - EJ Banks, Bullit

These are just my guesses, I am not an insider by any stretch of the imagination. I am curious to see what you guys think are realistic commit list looks like

Corey Adams?

Yes, Corey Adams.

With Adams, I've heard that a visit is more likely than we once thought, but I'd hardly say we're the favorite. That distinction probably belongs to the Trojans, so chill Heisman, I'm not that delusional Irish fan that thinks we're still gonna get Matt Barkley to decommit (scary, but they are out there).

Not that odds are worth anything, but we're talking a 90+% chance that he stays in the Pac-10, be it USC, Az St, Cal, or whatever. But long and the short of it, yes, I do know what I'm talking about, not smoking the grass; I just felt like making my one longshot Adams, rather than T'eo or Jenkins like most ND posters. If a kid visits, anything is possible (there's always at least one eyebrow raising commit each year).

As for Watt, I was feeling better about him when he was saying he was done visiting, and was getting tired of the process. He's since continued looking into other schools, so I'm worried the shine from ND has worn/will wear off. If he was that sold on ND, he wouldn't be looking into visits to UM or Wisconsin. Maybe he's just trying to be thorough and deliberate, but after what, three visits to South Bend? I would have hoped that he had seen enough to not want to visit elsewhere.

Ziggy's list is admittedly more realistic looking, but time will tell. Its hard enough to figure out the #'s as is, what between transfers that have happened, transfers that may happen, 5th years and all that other hoo-hah.

You're one of the most knowledgeable, well-informed posters so i was just a bit surprised you'd throw that big of a longshot onto your list like that

I think the eyebrow raising commit may be Xavier Nixon, just because so many (non ND fans) will assume he'll stay in the south

I hear ya Heisman. I'm usually not a "shot in the dark" predictor, but I always seem to get blind sided by something every year.

And just an FYI, next week my shot in the dark will most likely be Kennard; who knows after that. B&G has a free access article that has some encouraging news on him from ND's perspective. Certainly not "Irish lock" type news, but its looking like we may be an actual player for him. So be prepared for the, "B&G is the most reliable site out there; we're gonna get him" speeches.

i personally think the Muldoon kid from ST. Xavier will take one of the DE spots. and it's interesting that 2 of you predict carson before he even gets an offer and even though PSU wants him bad. Just cause he's from Jersey?

Anyone heard anything about Chris Bonds lately? Are we totally on the outside with him? he seems like the Ethan Johnson of this class.

Haha the best part of that is that on the Rivals mainboard, ND posters were saying B&G is a homer site, its funny how Irish fans on different sites all seem to have certain sites they don't like (e.g. DD and NDNation, DD and Mike Frank, etc)

btw Calves, YGM

That's the way it goes heiseman, I am helping one ND Blog to defuse another war or a fake ND fan. It comes with the territory. I myself IMO Don't appreciate Mike frank, ND Nation. That's my opinion and I try to keep it off the board when possible. Look at it this way. "I love my wife but not her brat Sister or my Mother in law." That should help your jollys some.

Sir J, did you hear anything from your priest about Gabe Ikard?

Rizz no, that priest is unfortunately in Hospice. It is another side ways contact, recently. Best information I ever had to contribute to this Board was from father. He is doing as good as can be expected, Always an ND fan but unable to assist.

tremendous analogy

From what others have told me, Chris Bonds is kind of like Adams in that our "stock" has gone from fat chance to in it, but long odds still. Heisman would know better than I, but I thought I remembered someone mumbling about Southern Cal cooling on him? Could even be South Carolina, since both schools think they're USC :D.

It's not so much that the staff cooled on him, he is a very impressive prospect who really enjoyed his unofficial visit, but with future 5* DT Hebron Fangupo in the fold already, there is pretty much one DT spot left (where Bonds projects at SC, the 3 technique tackle) and I think the staff feels pretty good about Corey Adams taking that spot.
