reneg
I love the block he lays at the 1:00 mark. I love WR's that block down field.

tchris555
not blown away by this kid's film either. I have higher standards now with Floyd coming on board. Hard to get excited about other WR's, except Marlon Brown.
reneg
He has a very impressive offer list. Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Florida, Florida State, LSU, Notre Dame, and South Carolina. He certainly isn't a bad player with an offer list like that. He may not be flashy, but he wasn't affraid to go over the middle and did some of the little things well. Guest nexus11313
Very nice find...but is his GPA good or not? Surely its not 4.5 out of 4.0, but the only other system I've seen is out of 12.0 which wouldn't be anywhere close enough to get into ND. Any info? If you take college-prep classes or honor classes, you can potentially receive a 4.5 GPA. I think the kid is smart. The kind who could early-enroll and not be behind or shell-shocked. Guest nexus11313
I just read that he does indeed have a 4.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale! That alone could probably get him into whatever college he chooses...VERY Impressive
Guest AtlantaIrish
You have to remember this kid is facing way better competition in Georgia then Floyd was in Minnesota. Patterson looks like a stud to me with a body big enough to come in and compete right away. I hope we land him along with Marlon Brown at WR. I know it's a long shot but I have faith once we start kicking ass in September the recruits will be coming in bunches.

The kind who could early-enroll and not be behind or shell-shocked. He must be taking AP classes, they are weighted differently than traditional high school classes so you can have over a 4.0. I graduated with a kid who also had a 4.5 on the 4.0 scale also. He already has some college credits already out of the way.
Guest AtlantaIrish
Not a homer here irishwavend. Comparing Minnesota football to Georgia HS football would be liking comparing Minn hockey to GA hockey. There really is no comparison. I hope we land the kid, he looks like a really good player.
Paulo1300
since he is smart, you would think he would give ND a lot of consideration. and he is on a weighted grading scale as stated before.. an AP class is worth 5 points instead of 4.. that way a kid who takes all general classes and gets straight A's will most likely not be valedictorian. notredomer23
Are you sure its 4.0 scale? I know some schools do it on 5.0 scale. Either way that is crazy good.
da coach
I smell a "homer." Well, I don't know if he is a homer, but the kid got caught from behind more times than not and his most impressive plays were the blocks he threw downfield... He looks like a nice possession WR but to peg him as a gamebreaker is a stretch...but to be honest this group needs a quality possession guy...His hands looked good and his ability to play away from the ball seems to be an underrated skill. Was anyone else impressed by his QB? With this class needing a QB, I wonder if this kid is on anyone's radar...the ball seemed to come out quick every play and on target. And he didn't get any pass protection...

I don't care if it's the best HS comp in the country, it's not as good as it's going to be at college so it just seems like he would be other one he have that issue with. But you can tell on his film that he's playing against pretty good bodies and pretty good competition.
