A twisted development. It seems as though Ryan is holding some recruiting violations over LSU's head for spite. There might be a leak of recruiting violations in the near future. About time LSU did this, its not easy to kick your starting QB(and best shot at making it back to the NC) but they did it.

 

You can argue he should have been kicked off before this, but we all know certain programs around the country would have found a way to keep their starting QB on board.

i think that there might be a small window , that he can come back if he can get cleaned up and an apology to the team , ? maybe . but i do agree he needed to go , but this is Cajun country and dem tigers will do anything to get dem players ready .

Well, not to start an argument or anything, but Ricky Williams clearly knows the rules and has repetitively decided that they don't apply to him. The crime is a lessor offense, but how many strikes does he get before he's out? Mind you, agree with it or not, smoking weed is not only a direct violation of NFL and team rules, it is also against the law. Ricky doesn't care about the NFL, the law, or the team...just what's best for Ricky. I don't think that should be rewarded personally.

but that's the point, isn't it? that it's a lesser offense. in fact, a FAR lesser offense. in many states it's a misdemeanor. none of the other guys you mentioned had mere misdemeanors. far from it!

Eric Wright, an NFL level CB who went on to be a 2nd round draft pick, was kicked off the team at SC for legal issues even though no charges were ever filed
