There was a thread on NDNation saying he has either been ruled ineligible for this semester or has left school altogether, the thread has since been deleted but obviously someone wouldn't just make up news like this on a whim, there might be something to this...

I hope he can get his issues sorted out in time.

Not to be selfish but.........

We need O Line help PAT!!!!!!!

i thought Kuntz was D-line, not O-Line..?

he is a dline, and he was arguably the second best player on the defense las year.....this my friends is not good news

ok that's what i thought. (sorry i've had little sleep for a few weeks...) We are going to need him back on that line for next year. There will be an even bigger hole (with laws gone) if Kuntz doesn't play

very very very bad news for the irish, of course ian williams stepped in nicely for him last year at nose tackle hopefully someone can do the same this upcoming year if he cannot play

He'll be back. Thats what he said and thats what he is intending to do. Im sure he wants to get back even more than we want him to. He knows if he plays well he has a chance to go to the NFL and be a millionaire. Im sure he's plenty motivated to return.

the rumors, it seems, are about it being an academic eligibility thing?

so this means he misses all of spring practice, yes?

yup..........

sounds like he wants to come back and will try to do that. i think sean cywner and ethan johnson better get ready.

We could be VERY young on DL if Kuntz's return hits any snags. I'd much rather have the young guys push out Justin Brown than have one thrust into action without "earning" it.

"No matter what I'm going to be back there. I'm going to have one more year to play and I'm going to graduate from Notre Dame," said Kuntz, who is majoring in sociology. "The time is the only thing that's not 100 percent." I think that he is a man of his word, and i wish him the best of luck and look forward to him returning this fall fully ready to play football and graduate from Notre Dame. Go Irish . :)

My mistake, I meant D line.

Our lack of depth is scary.

From what I am hearing, it's a "grades" thing and has to work on them.

I'd be very surprised not to see him back at the start of the season.
