A couple things i want to see this offseason:

Β

Clausen get stronger.

Β

Clausen develop relationships with his receivers (Get timing down)

Β

And overall every body come together and push each other. They should be promising each other that they wont let a season like this happen again.

Β

The bball team had a great summer and offseason, they played together whenever they could and see how theyve been playing.

i want him to get healthy and then do all those other things.

I want the OL to learn how to block, because if they don't, we'll be at home next bowl season too.....

I think since the frosh and sophs last year made up most of the team, there wasnt a comraderie b/c they havent played together for awhile. About 80 percent of the starters were first timers. This year that should be a great transition b/c guys learned what helped them to get better over the year and they can build on that.

I want to see the nasty! and also some enthusiasm

I want to see the kids start to show they are having fun.....which includes hitting, big plays on offense, turnovers on defense, and most importantly...WINS! Not all included in the off-season, but i think we will all agree it would be great to see this!

I agree with everything said so far. I also want to see team unity, not a few "loafers" who look disinterested. No more rift between the young and old guys.

I think that the team will be able to grow over this offseason. I spent some time around the team this season and part of the problem I saw was that there were some team "leaders" who kept to themselves alot and may have prevented cohesion from growing. From what I saw the young players seem very close, especially on the defensive side of the ball. Next season when some of these players can assume leadership roles I think the comraderie will begin to show.

Welcome to DD Stay. I agree with you 100%. I kept yelling at the TV for those leaders to go prove it....Flat except for the young pups.

Very good points made about cameraderie and leadership. We'll have a few 5th year leaders next to go with a thin senior class, so it'll have to be the juniors and even some of the sophomores who will have to take the reins a bit more and a bit earlier than would normally be necessary - ala Sam Young.

Speaking of the offseason, I am thrilled with our newer practice of early enrollees, and am looking forward to following TRob and Cwynar in the spring and summer. And as with each year, I will be getting very anxious closer to August to hear about the new arrivals and how they contribute.

I want the OL to learn how to block, because if they don't, we'll be at home next bowl season too.....

I agree. I want some swagger to go along with all these things. I want to get back to the day when anyone on the ND football team knew they couldnt be touched on the football field b/c they were the baddest SOB's out there. On Saturday's they were going to war, and ND was going to win most of those battles and if they did happen to lose, opponents were left witn an impression to say, 'man are they lucky for getting out of South Bend alive.' I want that back.

see the nasty! and also some enthusiasm, very good idea, i want to include the entire staff also, we got to get back to playing irish football, , we just might get a bowl request if we get it on . go IRISH :D

Absolute Priority A#1!!!!!

The success of the team almost lays entirely on their shoulders.
