Ok, we are now back at 22 recruits with Walker. I hear two are early enrollees. So we can take up to 5 more recruits. Who is most likely at this point; Martin - DT, Knox - RB, Kapron-Jones - DE, etc.... Will we fill out the class to 25? Who is most likely left to come no board?

If we keep all the guys we now have, I wouldn't mind stopping now and save some for next year.

I gotta think Datone stays at UCLA, same w/ Martin at Michigan. There doesnt seem to be much talk about Page coming here.

the great thing about this is 5th year eligibility and the potential lack in talent the '09 class has. Reports from all the combines are already saying this class doesnt look like it has the overall talent in past years. I say push full throttle on this class, get all the talent you can and then we'll worry about next year, b/c if we have another bad or underachieving year, we might not get any of the talented guys in '09.

Yea, I have to agree with you Ziggy on that point, but if this year wasn't an underachieving year, then I don't know what is and we did great this year in recruiting.

 

Lopsided classes are more deteremental! That's exactly part of the reason why we are in the position we were in this year with Ty's little classes. Of course the lack of talent in those little classes killed as well.

I wouldn't be surprised if some new names came out over the next few weeks.

 

One kid I think Notre Dame may end up offering is Will Compton... I think they will give him a chance to try out for both offense and defense... I think he would be perfect as a fullback in Weis' offense.

 

This is just speculation on my part though.

or guys like USC's Havili who looks like he isn't as big as Aldridge so i dont know what kind of a blocker he actually is but he makes plays out of the backfield.

a linebacker with decent hands works. it's a position of mentality. the guy has to want to hit people hard with reckless abandon. blow up opposing linebackers and pick up blitzes............maybe a paskorz type............

Martin and Jones. I wish there was a good kicker out there we could get.
