Throwing his players under the bus.

He said something to the effect of he's glad that the outgoing seniors who didn't or couldn't make a name for themselves on the football field are leaving.

There own fans are shocked and making excuses. There's even audio evidence.

WOW!!!!

BTW, good luck with that Omar!

here it is

"Well, for those guys who just put in their time and didn't make any real contributions, it's time for you to go. It won't be hard to say goodbye to some of those guys who just went through the motions. Now for those kids who actually bought into the program, and who made some sacrifices and contributions -- you know, like Bubba Caldwell....he's a graduate of UF and had a great career -- you'll really miss those guys. But just because you're a senior doesn't mean you have any value."

I don't think Charlie would use this as negative recruiting, but that doesn't mean Nick couldn't include it in every conversation he has with a potential recruit. Ha

After reading that, I feel better about rooting for Michigan today. I'd be disgusted if Charlie ever threw his players under the bus like that.

You know what they say:

"If you get into the habit of throwing your players under the bus, be prepared for a bumpy ride."

after i saw the florida players stomping on the michigan logo before the game i was done with them. urban meyer is a jerk of a coach for not having these kids under control. it was completely inappropriate and disrespectful. i'm no michigan fan, but i'm glad they won...........

Same here, Im no Michigan fan but it was nice to see someone beat Florida. From now on I instantly become a fan for anyone playing against Florida for one game. Urbie has turned out to be quite a snake and has quickly made a bad name for himself in college football and its not just pissed off ND fans saying this. I was shocked at the remarks he made at halftime. He was passing around a lot of blame and was basically sort of crybaby. Also, I honestly was not that impressed with Trattou.

It was really quite humorous to read the thread on the Florida board about this quote. Their initial responses were things like "That's crazy, Urban would never say anything like that" and something about a Nole fan making it up. But when faced with the audio evidence, their responses turned to "I'm glad he said that" and "Good for Urban" blah blah blah.

Amazing how they could be both offended AND happy he said it all in a matter of hours. LOL

Add it to the list of things that makes the Myth such an upstanding and honorable member of today's society. All I have to say is what goes around comes around...

Just another thing that I just found out today.

Picture this:

Your star player just won the Heisman award and while you're still standing with him during interviews, you make a call with your own cellphone to include someone very important to your stars most important moment in his life so far. Who do you call? Who is the first person you want part of this kids BIG MOMENT???

His mother?

His father??

His grandma???

NO! A RECRUIT!

The FIRST person Tebow speaks to on the most important moment of his LIFE and while he's still in the glow of NATIONAL GLORY and your coach, interupts a National interview, hands you a cellphone so you'll say a few words to a recruit he doesn't even know!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What do you think of that?

Meyer doesnt give a crap about Tebow. If he did, he'd teach him something useful like.....reading a defense.

Well guys, Urban is a master salesman! It's easy to get a sale when you have momentum. If you are a top 17 or 18 year old recruit, and get a call from the just announced heisman winner, then you would feel special.

Meyer doesnt give a crap about Tebow. If he did, he'd teach him something useful like.....reading a defense.

There are dozens of things to bash Meyer over but the performance of Tebow is not one of them

I kind of laugh at the Meyer bashing here because a little while back, each and every one of us wanted him...

I wasn't bashing Tebow. Don't get me wrong, I don't believe he's a Heisman caliber either and there hasn't been one for quite some time. I would say that Bush was one except for the ongoing investigation but I do believe he's Heisman talented.

I do believe Tebow is a great kid and a good QB, but not Heisman great.

Honestly, not me. I was a Gruden fanatic after an O'Leary supporter. (NO! Not THAT kind of "supporter"!! LOL!)

I still think O'Leary would have been the best fit.

wasn't talkin bout you Speedster i was referring to Ray
