I'm just informing you guys so you aren't completely caught off guard if it turns out to be true (which I doubt).

Apparently a poster on the Georgia Tech Rivals board posted that his dentist has a son on the Buford team and that UF was visiting TJ Pridemore at Buford at the same time ND was visiting Omar. Apparently the Florida people told another player to tell Omar to call them.

The poster also said that his dentist said that Hunter wants to go to Florida and that he will likely switch before all is said and done.

I would like to say that I don't believe this rumor. I'm not trying to work you guys into a frenzy... So I repeat... I do not believe this rumor, just wanted to give you guys a heads up...

agree with scotty here. also, if he knew this a long time ago, what was up with the myspace page??? was it a bogus site??? i know these things do happen, but it all seems a little too weird..........

well I'm just an old farmboy from the country road BUT I think it is humorous that OH was ticked because his scholarship was pulled. Son! You gotta make a choice. Sure it's great to have the two prettiest girls in school in love with you but now he has little feelings that will stay with him the rest of his life callled jealousy and regret. Boooooom-skock-a-locka! NEXT!!!!

OH's situation was like being engaged and arranging to take a date to the wedding...without letting your future bride know there may be a problem. No question, in this situation, he would not be taken back unless he crawled and begged to be a walk-on to earn that schollie. No way this is ever going to happen.

The bus left the station and now he can be thrown under the bus by the Cryer when he doesn't perform like the Cryer wants

Don't know about this being a PR move or not - just believe that CW stated the policy pretty clearly and when OH didn't decommit, but still played the field that was good enough to say you look behind our back, you gone

UF = the next FSU or Miami?

I don't think Herbin' is going to have it as easy as originally thought..... he may find out that he's going to have to work even harder to win another title and his trick plays won't cut it down there.....

I just think that all of the work CW put into recruiting him wouldnt go to waste if OH was welcomed back. All of this is purely hypothetical since we all know that if he was still interested he wouldnt list us as "zero interest".

CW stayed true to his word by pulling his scholarship and looking for someone else to replace him. He wouldn't be in violation of his own policy by giving him another chance. I do agree that there was some shadiness for those couple of weeks when OH didnt say anything publicly, but I think that would be the only item that would potentially keep him from being offered again (should baby Jesus come to him in his sleep and make him realize he should've been Irish).

Look somewhere else while your committed to the Irish, your schollie gets pulled. Once you're de-committed, I don't think his intent is to stick it to any recruits and hold grudges should they have second thoughts and want to return. His job is to haul in the best players for ND. Again, just to reiterate, this is NOT taking into consideration that OH may have tried to deceive CW for a couple of weeks. Potential integrity issues would keep him from getting another offer in that case.......

Just to clarify...CW never once said that he was going to pull a scholarship on a player that decided to take other visits. His actual words were "If they're looking, we're looking". I have no idea how everyone turns that into scholarships being pulled. Now, if we're tight on scholarships and while we're looking we find someone who is more "on board", then yes, the other guy might lose his scholarship. But I've never understood how "if they're looking, we're looking" always turns into "If they're looking, we're pulling their scholarship".

b/c mike farrell reported that a source close to the team stated that if Omar gets on the plane to go to Florida, his schollie is pulled. Then Lemming clarified it by saying, "you can print that".

So that was the case with Omar, and perhaps to make a point in the future or gain credibility. But it still isn't what Charlie said and Omar still hasn't gone on a FL visit. Not to mention Omar was likely gone before that occured anyway. No offense, but I think we know better than to trust Lemming.

Charlie didnt say it before, but he cant comment on recruits publicly yet, so we wont know until NSD. Lemming knows a lot about ND and their recruiting process.

I am truly grateful that we find out what we had in Omar before he signed a LOI.

I'm taking the stance that all of our other recruits are taking. If you dont cut out the bruises, you end up with a bad apple.

cave owned hunter and that's not me being biased. hunter got through one time for sack, but it was not cave's assignment. it looked like he pancaked him on one play............
