Wow, good news. Omar is a beast. After watching his video from the state semifinal game, I think he should go both ways in college, but that's just me.

Thats awesome, he really deserves it. I like this guy more and more everyday. We're going to be talking about him long after he's graduated from ND. Cave and Filer both deserve a * upgrade as well. Maybe a few others too.

I agree. This one has really puzzled me. Granted I didn't get to see him play but the few articles I read on him and his team always had him making great plays.

 

Maybe it is because he committed to ND that made him drop. Wouldn't be the first time, prolly won't be the last.

Also, should we start taking bets on if Omar gets a 5th star in the new rankings that come out on Thursday for Rivals?

 

My vote is he will end up in the low 30's, just outside 5 star status.

rivals should give both hunter and ethan johnson a fift star. i think the last two rivals rankings ethan johnson has been the #1 4-star prospect both times. hunter and johnson should get 5-stars and michael floyd should get his rivals rating bumped from 5.9 to 6.0.

I agree that Ethan Johnson should have 5th star, but he didn't play much this year because of injury. That will inevitably hurt him.

rivals updated the Defensive Tackle rankings on Dec. 15th and omar hunter is ranked 4th. if hunter gets a 5th star i don't think it'll come untill after the all start games.

The only possible way that Ethan Johnson gets a fifth star from rivals is if he commits to USC.

I really dont see anyway he will get the 5th star with all of his injuries. Plus this is a real solid year for DT. I think he could have been, but teh injuries slowed him.

That list was updated november 15th. I think omar will get his fifth star thursday more because of all the attention he is getting than how he has played which is sad because has had an incredible season.

The Scout ranking has him as the #2 DT followed by #3 Marcus Forston!!! Corwin is awesome!!!!

You don't see too many kids adding a star at the END of the season.

That's what a little playoff dominance will do for you.

Him getting hurt his junior year was a great thing for the Irish.

It helped to keep this kid under the radar.

I agree that it is mind-boggling why Steven Filer continues to drop! I got to see him play this year and can assure you he is a MONSTER!!

 

He went to Mt. Carmel, which is probably one of the two best programs in Illinois (along with Joliet Catholic). He is a big, tough, instinctive linebacker. I can't wait to se him dominate for the Irish!
