I thought this would be a fun thread. who is the best player you ever played against or with. not watched but actually played against. I would have to say senaca wallace from the seahawks and logan mankins from the pats. Senaca wallace is the best athlete i have seen in person amazing speed. matt hasselbeck said in an interview that wallace is the best athlete on the team.

Well for any of you old school NFL fans, I got to play catch with Bob Hayes once. Obviously not game related, but it was a really good memory.

In a competitive nature in football I really don't have any. For basketball I played against Chuck Hayes in some basketball tournies in high school. Chuck Hayes started all 4 years at the University of Kentucky and now starts for the Houston Rockets in the NBA.

rick watters. the kid had unbelievable talent. noone could catch him. funny thing is that he was so little and skinny that i was afraid if anyone did catch him, they would kill him. he was a few years younger than me and he dominated the cyo league where i grew up. reneg, what kinda shape was bob in when you played catch?? if i remember correctly, he died a pretty sick man. wow, fastest man in the world at one time. i'm looking at his football card right now. it's in a framed collection i have on my wall. i loved watching him play..............

i played against:

Alonzo Highsmith

George "Buster" Rhymes (not the rapper) I got his shoe on a tackle and he ran 80+ yards with a sock on.....

Played with Wyman Henderson

Josh Smith in the 2000 Class A State Championship. We won the game and kept him from breaking the National High School Scoring Record. He finished his senior year at Attica with 3004 rushing yards. He went on to be a force at Navy and was team captain 2 or 3 years there.

played bball against dan masters who went on to play bball at pacific. also ran cross country against anthony alt who went on to run cross country at notre dame.

played against a lot of great guys but here are the best:

With: Jeff Samardijza, Abram Elam

Against: Anquan Boldin, Devin Hester, Dustin Pedroia, Chad Cordero

Against my little brother in the backyard. Man he sure knew how to use the swingset obstacle to his advantage.

I guess it would be my cousin Mickey Schad in Tennis. Mick went on to be in the Kentucky Hall of fame and Pro Coach at Bellermine University here.

He was a St Xavier guy I was Flaget HS. At Flaget we had Roddy McNerney also great. I got into it for the tan, like Mick had and those white outfits which attracted girls. I was waaaaaay out of my league, they busted my butt on the courts. Anyone that tells you that by playing the best competition improves your own game is a liar.

It did draw me into a more sedate bowling game for which I received a sanctioned 300 game by ABC, but that's a story for another time.

I was really good at spinning my racket and using it to pop up a loose ball on the court into my hand. Man I looked professional at those two things till we started an actual game. Ahahahah.

Well, played against 'Cadillac' in high school and we held him under 50 yds both times. My personal fav. cause I was a LB

...played against Evan Bush (jr olympic's baseball, pan am games) not big yet but he's getting there quick

...played with Mathew Maniscalco, I think he's with the Devil Rays right now, havent looked in a while

I also played basketball against a kid from Anniston, AL ...name escapes me but he's playing for Nebraska

forgot to add i just played a pickup game in the gym with Mike Davis, Jr. His dad's down here at UAB and I have a friend thats the manager so I get to go shoot and play some hoops with the coachs and a couple of the transfers

Welcome to DD dylan :o Nice to see you here posting.

Gad if I was terrible at Tennis you ain't seen me play alley ball in hoops. A slow, white screw up jumper was my middle name. In base ball it was.."Don't swing at anything, let him walk you."

thanks sir john, been lurking for well over a year and just now deciding to join the chaos ha

Welcome aboard :D You will have fun on the way. A great place. :D

i played midget football with and little league baseball against Joe Flacco -- Delaware's QB, 5th rated QB on Mel Kiper's Draft Board

played on all star baseball tm with Reid Briglia -- baseball player at IU

played baseball against William Zack Braddock -- baseball player in Brewer's organization.

played baseball against Sean McConnell -- baseball player in Minors, I 4get what team.

played against Will Bakanowski, played bball for Central Florida.

football

played against Corey Smith, OLB for Cincy Bearcats

played against Lamont Robinson, LB for Oklahoma Sooners, dont think he starts though

They were teammates, our school beat their school 47-0 and 14-0 the two years I played them. They were two years behind me, but we never had any D-1 prospects lol. Me and a few others had a few D-1AA looks and Buffalo sent me a few letters, but nothing D-1.

played against George Johnson, DE for Rutgers

he was a frosh when I was a senior. I showed em a thing or two about a thing or two lol

played against Sakeen Tariq Wright, played for East Carolina then transferred to D-III Rowan (lost in semis vs. Mt. Union 2 yrs ago), now plays for the Austin Wranglers in the AFL, was a Senior when I was a soph

played against Terrance Holmes, played safety for Florida Gators, graduated last yr or the year b4. was a senior when I was a junior. I remember him dropping a pass on the rocket screen b/c I was sizing him up for a kill shot.

played against Isaac Redman, plays for Bowie State, may go pro. I think he's a junior. same grade

played against a lot of great guys but here are the best:

With: Jeff Samardijza, Abram Elam

Against: Anquan Boldin, Devin Hester, Dustin Pedroia, Chad Cordero

Did you play against Boldin in 03 PJack? I liked the 02 game much better. Can't stand Pedrioa (Yanks fan), but he will be special for years, hate to say it.

I played a pickup game of hoops with TJ Duckett while he was in HS. Needless to say I wasn't about to cover that guy.

You guys realize what we are all saying here is we are losers. Ok let me re phrase that. We provided competition to let these winners hone their game some.

Ran track against Stu Schwiegert (Raiders safety) when we were freshmen in high school. He beat me by about 10 seconds in the 400.

So I'm pretty confident that with a 10 second head start, I could beat Stu Schweigert in a race that was shorter than 400 meters.

not a big time player yet, but i played basketball two years ago against Ryan Ayers younger brother. He was pretty good.

played against a lot of great guys but here are the best:

With: Jeff Samardijza, Abram Elam

Against: Anquan Boldin, Devin Hester, Dustin Pedroia, Chad Cordero

Daaaaang!!! There's some good players right there!!!!

I didnt play football past my freshman year in HS,, but had I then i would have gone up against Quinn, Chinedum and Carpenter (cowboys LB). Also had I played varsity as a frosh then I would have played with Roethlisberger
