now that WVU lost and missouri is losing, who will play ohio state for the championship? Georgia doesnt deserve it, they couldnt even get second in their conference. I dont think Ohio state deserves it either, they play absolutley no one.

what a mess. i love it. i hope they actually try to fix this crap..........

There is no way in hell it should be to a two loss team when you have undefeated hawaii. I will settle for a 1 loss Kansas or Missouri...or UGA just to piss off people, but No way LSU, USC, or VT should be in the national title game.

i think Mizzou's offense has earned it with 31 points in their first 12 games (i am bias tho)...V-Tech isnt bad but im not sure theyre good enough for the NC....USC and LSU def. do not deserve it...its just a mess, i have absolutely no clue

My thing is when is undefeated good enough? Does a BCS team have to lose 3, 4 games? When is an undefeated team good enough to get into the national title no matter what conference. Hell, when is it acceptable to have a 2 loss team in the title when there is a pool of 1 loss and undefeated teams. It would be outrageous to put a 2 loss team in the title.

Why does losing 1 game late in the season cause you the title, too??? I argue Kansas or Missouri has a better excuse to be in the title than LSU or any of those guys the announcers love. This is Bull$)*!!!!! COMPLETE AND UTTER BULL$%^&!!!!

Va Tech doenst have a claim over LSU. Both won their conferences and both finished with identical records. The one important detail is that LSU beat the crap out of Va Tech earlier this year (week 2). UGA is next in line to go into the game according to the BCS but i think that the voters wont put in a UGA team with 10 wins that didnt even win its division, let alone its conference over LSU either. USC might be the hottest team in the country...but I still have to think the voters will like the SEC champions. Go Tigers, F%#k Ohio State.

With all the weird losses this season they should just put hawaii in after they beat up on Ty, but sadly it will never happen

i cant stand LSU though, but if LSU does play OSU got to hope LSU kills them just like Florida did last year

A couple more things before I hit the hay. Why does LSU have to jump UGA with two losses? Why doesn't Kansas jump both and why doesn't Mizzou fall to #2 since they only have one loss? ONE loss. I don't understand this LSU jumping from 7 or whatever all the way up to #2. My vote is Hawaii or Big XII one losses. Sorry. The BCS is jacked up in general, which doesn't even have to be acknowledged.

Kansas didn't beat anybody all year, which by the way is why OSU doesn't deserve to be in the title game. I think people need to be asking themselves who are the best teams right now and most would conclude UGA and USC. They are 2 loss teams one of whom didn't even make it to the conference championship I understand but there is a lot of slop this year. In this circumstance one could almost go ahead and make a good argument for Hawaii getting in there. At least they beat Boise St and even Missouri had their chance at #1

The next best thing in my opinion is go ahead and put OSU in there (they won their conference w/only one loss), and since LSU won their conference (which is also widely considered the toughest and deepest conference in the nation) and whose losses came in triple overtime where you must go for 2pts, I think it makes rational sense to throw them in there. Hopefully that will result in another yawnfest beatdown of OSU by an SEC team.

I pray we see Hawaii/Georgia

And as I type that, they are getting crushed by Golfingham.

The people who are supposed to be in the title are not the ones who are conveniently doing the best right now, but the ones who put up the best record overall. When should doing well at the end of the season ever calculate into the equation? I don't care when a team feels like peaking. I want to see their record. Taking margin of victory out of the equation has really hurt, too, because that is the only chance for a team from another conference to make a push to be in a game they deserve to be in. Now, the BCS conferences have further limited the biggest games to themselves. Also, I don't care who the hell the conference champion is. If college football is all about conference champions, why do teams play games outside of their conference, why do those games count, and why doesn't ND have to be in a conference?

The whole conference champion argument is out the window. The whole college football scene is jacked up. Ultimately, you have a bunch of rednecks running conferences trying to hoard money from the little guys and trying to bully their way around everywhere with the favorites continually promoted, no matter how good they actually are.

Back to margin of victory really quickly... If you argue a win is a win, as many have done to justify lack of margin of victory, then you have to argue a loss is a loss, especially when a team has 2.

I want to say Hawaii may fall out of this discussion, but Ty might find a way to choke...

Well the way I look at it is that there is no way to really come up with two teams. Missouri has two losses by more then 10 points to the same team twice. Kansas only has one loss but has played no one all year. Hawaii has beaten Boise St. who really isn't that great this year(loss to Ty). They are undefeated but if you think they can hang with LSU or even the Buckeyes, you got another thing coming. No defense for them at all. It took them a last second field goal vs poor teams just to win games. Ohio State's best win is vs Michigan who was destroyed vs Oregon and lost to App. St. They shouldn't be in regardless to let them know that playing the worst schedule doesn't work out. After that there is LSU. I don't like them, but both losses were in triple OT and have lost a lot of players to injury. I really think they deserve a shot because they are likely the best team if healthy. After that is Georgia who didn't win their conference so they should be out. Finally is USC, probably the most talented team and I think as much as I HATE them they deserve a shot even over OSU.

I just think if a team plays no one all year, they shouldn't be rewarded for it. AKA Hawaii and OSU. I think that the best overall game would be what turned out to be the preseason number 1 and 2 teams. USC and LSU(yes I know they both have two losses). Well thats my two cents of making a decision of this mess that we call college football this year.

There is no candidate that has a good case for the title game. There are bunch of teams, however, that have a decent enough case considering the circumstances.

Hawaii is neat and all at 11-0, but they're losing to Washington 21-0 at home right now. Plus, they play absolutely nobody. I mean absolutely nobody. Before the Nevada and Boise State games, I don't know if they played an opponent ranked in the Sagarin top 100.

Georgia is playing as well as anyone right now, but the not even winning your division thing hurts them. Then again, Oklahoma and Nebraska have played in title games without winning their conference title (Nebraksa without getting to the Big XII title game in 2001).

USC won't make it because it lost to Stanford (not to mention the two losses). Which, in a year where 13 unranked teams beat a top five team, is stupid. What I'm saying is that Stanford shouldn't be the reason.

Oklahoma, LSU and Virginia Tech have the best arguments, seeing that they each won their league and have some pretty good wins under their belts. If I had to guess, it will be one from that group, probably LSU because it has a 49-7 win against Va Tech, and does play in the nation's toughest conference.

But, none of these teams is "deserving of a shot at the national title." Nobody has had a season this year that is worthy (including Ohio State, which played a joke of a schedule, but I didn't mention because they're going). Maybe they should just not name a national champion.

georgia vs usc is the only game that i think would be a true championship.....

I love it too schell. Nobody has a right to say they are the best team this year. It seems to me that the NCAA is losing its grip on college football. Teams get away with open rules violations, this idiotic BCS system, etc.
