Yeah, was just going to update everyone on this. My ND alum buddy, as some of you know, has a daughter who is good friends and classmates with Jonas, called me about this. He spoke with Jonas after the game, he was so fired up and wont stop talking about how he cant wait to get to ND...btw, Jonas had more than 304 when adding in all-purpose yards and the team they beat, Zeeland, was undefeated and Michigan state champs the last two years in a row.. :D

Wow

Any idea as to his expectations for PT and whether he might redshirt? Sounds like Jabbie is coming back and we know of the big 3. He would make a great 4th. I don't see the need for another such as Cyrus Gray, but if Jonas is talking about getting here, what is he saying?

I'm sure about competing, I don't think a kid with his talent comes in looking to redshirt, I'm sure he's anxious to compete for playing time. He probably will redshirt, but I'm sure that's not on his mind.

Not sure that he will red-shirt, as a type he fits right in between Allen and Hughes He is actually a speed back with lots of power. Think he will play right around 225 (215 now)...kind of a Julius Jones repeat...can juke but lots of north/south an d can catch out of the backfield as well, much like both Allen and Hughes

awesome pic NDgrandson! awesome pic!

You beat me to it Paisan...

Love that pic NDGrandson.

I'll be covering Jonas' state championship game on Friday night. I'll make sure to let you all know how he did.

Great picture Grandson! :)

Not a bad day for Gray: 144 yards on 34 carries, but he was bottled up for most of his team's 21-7 loss in the state championship game Friday night. He was also brought down quite a few times one-on-one by Marine City's smaller DBs.

Β

He said he was still suffering from a deep thigh bruise, and Marine City's whole gameplan was to take him, out, so considering those factors, I'd say he was alright.

Β

He wasn't the best player on the field, though. MC quarterback Brendon Kay is going to be an absolute stud. He's going to Cinci. Can make every throw, he's built like a linebacker (and plays like one), and has everything you want mentally in a quarterback.

The Demens (LB) kid from Country Day was tough, too. He's going to Michigan.

Watched it on FSD, and you make a pretty fair assessment. Gray had no help from the rest of his offense so his day was kind of mundane. I would have like to seem him run with healthy legs, but it looks like he will be a pretty good back.
