He has a decision date and will be an EE, that's all I know.

It also says he will be a silent until he announces on 1/5/08. I think we may very well be in this. Just a feeling though.

Is that the latest that he can announce if he is going to be an EE?

Has he made a descision and will announce it then or is he still trying to decide? And- I thought if your going to EE you had to announce it earlier, the Spring semester would start 9 or 10 days after that.

He doesn't need to announce it at all as long as he's done the paperwork to enroll.

So we could probably find out before he announces?

Anyone have friends in admissions to invite over for a weekend cookout?

lol No. But you can find out with the student directory online. Does anyone know what date the deadline is to register for the Spring semester?

With all that's happened over the last couple of weeks concerning Walker, I can't help but think he ends up at ND. I'll just bring up a few points and let you connect the dots.

1. Numerous people have made the comments that Deion's Dad is extremely high on ND. I can only assume they are correct.

2. Here is a quote from dangeruss in a different thread:

i was listening to irish radio on B&G, they said that during the navy game that walker was really getting into the game. they said that when navy was called for pass interence in the 3rd overtime walker just went nuts, he jumped up on the railing and was cheering like a crazy man. to me thats a good sign. they also said that according to some people in the ND program that ND might be the leader.

3. Here is a quote from gallup21 in a different thread:

Dayne said "We've got a good shot with him [Deion Walker], trust me."

The trust me part at the end is almost seems like he knows something we don't.

4. Walker goes out of his way to contact a ND recruiting site to say that he was severely misquoted in regards to the USC hit piece concerning nothing to do in South Bend compared to LA. These misquotes happen all the time in "reporting" on the recruiting articles. How many of the recruits go out of their way to take the initiative to contact a recruiting website on their own to clarify that they were misquoted.

5. Walker wants to be an EE but is waiting to announce till Jan 5. My assumption is that he wants to make sure that ND will accept him as an EE before he is willing to announce.

I still don't know who was the silent WR commit that was speculated earlier, but I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility that it could've been Walker.

HERE COME THE IRISH!!!!

Walker, Robinson, Baldwin.

Over different stages of the recruiting season I have wanted one more than the other two after watching film. Right now i am highest on Robinson due to his abilities at multiple positions but I would love to have any of the 3.

After watching all the available tapes and reading what each has said who would you guys rather have right now?

after watching film, i'd take in order...

1. Johnathan Baldwin

2. Gerrell Robinson

3. Dieon Walker

I like your thinking on Robinson's ability to play multiple positions, especially since after next year when Sharpley is gone, we'll then be down to Clausen, Crist and whoever we bring in next year. But if I had to pick between the 3, I'd put faith in the staff bringing in another stud QB next year and go for one who is more refined right now and can step in righy away with Kamara, Floyd and compete with the others. So I'd say Walker, but that's just my $0.02.

I want G Robinson first and foremost. That guy runs like a prototype receiver.

The article on II also said something about another team thinking he was an Irish lock... interesting...

Also- I would take Walker above Baldwin or Robinson. We already have floyd and goodman who are great tall recievers, but lack top end speed. Walker is the only one of the potentials who has the top end speed to be a deep threat which we really need. All we got right now is tate. It would be great to have another burner.

I really don't care

They are 1.a, 1.b and 1.c to me. I'm already satisfied this WR class will hit the mark
