I've been a Notre Dame fan my whole life and will stay one until I die. You want an answer to your silly question? I say all players, students, alum, and fans are IN and CW is OUT! How about that for a little bit of the ole' "in/out"? (Sorry for the Clockwork Orange reference)

Charlie is the General. I will follow him until he is not.

I'm with Ray on this one. If you don't support Charlie, then you don't support ND because losing charlie would probably lead to the loss of what is quite possibly the greatest recruiting class in ND history. If charlie goes it is not good for ND football. I'm all in for the hardest working head coach we have ever had.

I agree with the no more stupid in/out games ,who the F*ck cares if some wank in timbuck too won't root for the Irish because this season has been so bad. There isn't much any one or group of fans can do anyway. Either way, I'll be at every home game this year the next and so on cheering my ass off because I will always love the Irish no matter how bad they are. Having said that, this season sucks, but I like seeing the young talent show glimmers of hope for the future. I guess there is one thing I'll be doing, praying the Irish and Charlie find out how to win again during this soon to be long off season.

Yeah, forget all these fair weather fans I see hopping off the bandwagon now. Stay off.

BTW, I don't believe in any way that Charlie should go. I think he needs to change a few things and adapt. Based on the last press conference, he knows something isn't right and he's trying to fix it.

I'm in, but it doesn't mean I have to forefit the right to criticize when it is appropriate. There is no one on this team/coaching staff that is immune to have a finger pointed at them when they don't perform.

 

I think that some people forget that reasonable criticism doesn't mean your a true ND fan, I think it shows the opposite, to me it shows that at least they care.

At this point, I think he'd make a better fan than a coach.

as stated on other posts. You fire Charlie, you may as well kiss Irish football goodbye for good. No coach worth bringing in is going to play the 3 years or out game. The years to follow are going to be special and all the fans that are calling for Charlies head will be singing a different tune.

all the leaders of ND football left last year and their has been no one in the junior or senior class that has stepped up to replace them. CW will get it turned around. you can't expect freshmen and sophmores to lead a team. getting rid of CW would only kill ND football forever.

ND Fanatic - I could not have written this any better. I'm sure that some of my recent comments are lumped in with those of several others when this thread and the other about 'whiners' was developed, but there is nothing wrong with making critical comments about the team as long as they are not demeaning to people, players and coaches.

The season is a loss, but bizzaro Rockne's disdain for CW is ridiculous. We do have a right to criticize, but we should temper that criticism in that there is one way to salvage the season: Recruiting. In case you didn't know Rockne, Weis is recruiting the best talent in the country. Mack Brown is a crappy coach but won a title on the pure fact that he has some of the best talent top to bottom of any team in the country. This fire CW stuff is Bull$&%*! You talk real tough behind a computer, though. I don't agree and cannot agree with your type of idiocy. Yeah, coach deserves to criticism, but not even close to firing. Understand the entire game of football first before you make stupid and assinine assertions!

Let's ease up here a bit. Rockne has been around a long time, I don't think he needs me to defend him. I do disagree with some of his assertins but that is part of the board.

Agree 100% percent. I'm all-in even though ND's hole cards are 2-7 unsuited.
