I came home and then watched the game again.

Thoughts:

1. Navy fans either have alot of class or REALLY feels sorry for us. I think both.

2. Navy band, although small is very entertaining.

3. Female cadets in their "jump suits" are better looking than our cheerleaders.

4. The crowd noise wasn't half bad considering.

5. The plane with the banner that read something to the effect of, "1-8 don't wait Transfer Early" was classless and I couldn't help to think that it may have been focused towards Omar than any of our players.

6. I am tired of Nachos, hot dogs or pretzels. Can't they at least offer slices of Pizza or something?

7. I know it's redundant to say but the TV timeouts just suck ALL life out of Notre Dame stadium!!

Now for game thoughts:

8. As soon as Clausen made that first completion, then Carlson dropped the ball, I got "that feeling".

9. I used to think our guys looked slow just because I usually watch it on TV, but they are slow in person as well.

10. When the score was 10-10, I really thought that at the very least, we could just wear them down and definitely win the game. Ummmmm,,,, NO.

11. I believe we are 9 sacks from having the most ever in college football with 51. (I am pretty sure about that but don't quote me).

12. When Kuntz went down, my first thought was "God NO!!"

13. When Sully went down, my first thought was "Thank God!!" (Yes, I felt bad I thought that).

14. Zibby is a semi-finalist for that big D award. WHY?

15. Why did our ALL-AMERICAN TE drop 3 passes that practically hit him in the chest?

16. Jimmy had alot less "happy feet" this game. Very noticeable.

17. Jimmy threw for 2?? yards, 3 TD's, 0 INT's. He made a few mistakes but like Weis said, "I think we've got a Quarterback!"

18. We have the worst OL in ND history! Latina must go! If we fix the OL, I truly believe 90% of our problems will be gone! IT'S TERRIBLE!!!

19. Don't ask me why and please don't give me crap about this but WE WILL BEAT DUKE AND BEAT THEM BIG. Even more surprising, we will give Stanford a game and I feel good about it. (I know, sounds crazy but you can all give me crap after those games and I'll take it like a man).

20. I like Junior Jabbie! I think he's one of those guys that doesn't show enough in practice to get alot of game time, but every time he's used in game time, he impresses.

21. Hughes is better than alot of people think.

22. Golden is going to be better than the Shark once they coach him at WR and he gets his routes down. Who else EXPECTED a great catch when he laid out for that pass and just missed it?

23. I still believe in CW!! He needs to make alot of tough decisions but for the most part, I liked the playcalling today. The post game interview was very telling as to I believe he will make those changes once the season is over.

24. Who else thought that when we were down with 4 mins. to go that we could still pull this out??

Just my personal opinions and you can agree or disagree. :D

Must have been a great tailgate. :D I only joke SpeedsterX.

23. I want to believe in CW as well. More then anything I just him to prove all the naysayers wrong. Show that he can coach. Can develop. Can kick your a$$. But each week it gets harder for me to see that.

24. There was a point in the game where I thought they would turn it around. After that impressive drive, Clausen to Carlson in corner, I thought they could do it. That's why I call them a tease. They show brilliance but can't duplicate it.

So...you're saying Golden Tate is going to be the best Notre Dame reciever of all time?

This quote right here makes me sick. you have got to be freaking kidding. we are going to give Stanford a run for their money. i think i just vomited in my mouth. wow, we have suck low. and now we make freaking guarantees about beating DUKE! and we are not talking basketball. wow, how freaking low have we fallen.

I agree with those thoughts. Concerning thought #20 I think that is what is hurting charlie, you go by how the players perform in practice but when they perform well on the big stage that should show that they need to be on the field.

Actually Irishangler, I kinda felt alittle burning in my throat when I said it to myself. I feel your pain. But on the brighter side, I DID predict the UCLA win. Hope it helps.

So...you're saying Golden Tate is going to be the best Notre Dame reciever of all time?

I believe he has that potential, YES!

YES! I truly believe that!

(I know you think I have no clue but I really believe that and hell, it's only an opinion. But again, I will say it again, YES I believe that.)

Golden Tate is something special. He needs to play more.

Golden might not go down as the greatest of all time but listen to me when I say he won't be far from it.

I came home and then watched the game again.

9. Yes, they look very slow, especially our LBs on the outside. Absolutely no contain on the options.

13. I thought that about Sully too. Not happy he was hurt, just happy to have him out of the game. Amazing how since he was exposed as being a bad teammate, he hasn't hiked anymore balls over heads. He actually snaps like an all-american again.

14. Zibby looks like a football zombie, going through the motions.

I don't think anybody regrets coming back for a fifth year more than him, and it's quite obvious in his play.

16. Jimmy did look more composed. Maybe the time on the sideline helped slow down the game for him like coach told him. Maybe coach telling him that being on the sideline would help the game slow down for him helped Jimmy realize this. If that's the case, than that's great coaching on Charlie's part. See folks, he's getting this whole coaching thing down. :)

17. Jimmy would have thrown for over 300 yards if not for all of those drops. The drop by Grimes across the middle could have gone to the house because he was full speed when he...dropped it!!

18. I think you're right on here speedster!

A great O line would change things SO dramatically. More time to throw, better running, everything. Get Latina out. I think this is already in the works though.

19. You're not completely off base here either. Duke and Stanford don't run a complicated run offense like Navy and Air Force. They actually throw a little which plays more into our strengths. I saw people crying about no sacks against Air Force and not sure about Navy. It's hard to sack a QB that is on the run immediately following the snap, and pitches the ball before you can get there anyhow. There will be more blitzing with Neal and Smith, and more pressure on their offense in general.

21. I know Hughes will be great. I wish he got more work now.

Considering i sat in the air force section about 15 rows from the band/cheerleaders, I have to say their band was great and boy were the female cheerleaders hott! The fans had a lot of class. I enjoyed every minute of it.

As much as i enjoy golden, he isnt the next shark. 2 different types of wide outs. May golden be the next Rocket? Yes. But you gotta remember shark was 6-5. Golden is 6 foot. I think Mike Floyd or Kamara will definitly set some records.

If you prove me wrong with this prediction, I'll eat cat intestines raw and enjoy it!!!!

Good thoughts Speedster, I had some similar feelings...Sullivan...and Kuntz, although I think Ian played well.

By the way, I am glad you switched back to the lime, I think it's funnier.

I agree with the earlier post that we seem to be real slow on the edge, we need more speed in the OLB position...or better resognition or something. Also, is it just me or do we seem to lean on opponents rather than hit them? I am talking about defense--after the first hit all RBs seem to get another 2-3 yards, almost every time--frustrating.

This season has been over since GT. Let's just hope that CW makes some wise choices in the off season for everyone's sake.

Thanks!! DomeandDomer talked me into it.. LOL!!

13. When Sully went down, my first thought was "Thank God!!" (Yes, I felt bad I thought that).

Is it my imagination, or did the offense play better when Sullivan went out?

Many will say that it was because AF laid off alittle late but I truly believe that YES they played better when Sully came out.

I thought it was pretty obvious. Too obvious for CW not to see!

I was thinking the same thing that Wenger played the position much better or the line had more chemistry. Could be that the line doesn't get along or understand Sully very well and this could be the issue on the line - ego perhaps?

I truly think that Sully is a problem with the line and the team in general.

I have absolutely NO evidence of this at all but it's a feeling when you read so many things on the subject and see how the play differs with him in or out.

Do not quote me on this but I believe we're going to learn alot more about all of this once the season is over and graduated players are not afraid to talk alittle.

I, for one, will be very surprised if Sully graduates and doesn't bitch about one thing or another. It's going to be very enlightening in my opinion.

The speed on the edge has been bad since game #1.

I'm pretty sure Crum started on the outside against Georgia Tech and couldn't keep up.

It was one of the first position changes Charlie made, and it's probably a reason why Kerry got to play so much early on.

It will be nice to see what Filer and Flemming can do about that outside speed too.

I gt win off psts here, WQe hve a Duke split

Let's go ND closeout the seawson

I came home and then watched the game again.

Thoughts:

1. Navy fans either have alot of class or REALLY feels sorry for us. I think both.

4. The crowd noise wasn't half bad considering.

6. I am tired of Nachos, hot dogs or pretzels. Can't they at least offer slices of Pizza or something?

1. I thought both the Navy fans and the Air Force fans have a lot of class and are a lot better then the USC fans.

4. The crown noise was not loud.

6. They serve Home Run Pizza as the kid next to me had about three of them.
