Are we going to win this game? Look at my location, see where I live. If ND doesnt win this one life is gonna be real hard for at least a year. I might need extra prayers. Seriously guys, Ive talked to a few Air Force officers who are quietly hoping for an ND victory. Theres a lot of rivalry between guys who went to the Academy and guys who didnt.

Id say there is about 60 to 65% chance we win this game. We are home, and Navy beat Air Force by I believe 12.

Germany, I didn't realize you were a militry man, much less an Air Force one. I spent 5+ years in the Air Force as a Civil Engineering officer. What's your specialty?

 

Now, that being said, I think we have a good chance to be Air Force. I have a couple of good buddies in Colorado Springs that I've talked with about this. They have a new set of head coaches this year and are playing pretty well but have been over matched by superiori talent. They are still fundamentally sound and still run the ball quite a bit but there has been a shift in their playcalling to include more of the pass then in years past. I think our experience against Navy will help us defend Air Force's running game better and we just have the better talent on the field.

Blarney, Sorry I was a little misleading in my post. I was actually Army Intelligence but am now a civilian. I just work at Ramstein. Its a pretty great place. They are already getting geared up for an Air Force win over here. I hope ND can mess that up for them. I have to admit most of the Air Force guys are pretty cool and respectful of ND. They have quite high character standards and they realize that ND does as well. Hats off to these guys. Any trash talking here is mostly just good clean fun, pretty mild. I think we are gonna win this won. 60% chance. Go Jimmy, Go Irish!

ah, the power of cheap flying in Europe. I love it. When my brother took a symester in Italy he flew to about 10 different countries in Europe ten different weekends for a whole total of about 300 bucks.

I think that Navy is much better running the ball than Air Force.

They do like to throw it around though, and this plays more to our strengths on D.

 

If Air Force was smart, they would NEVER throw the ball after watching last weeks game.

As far as Im concerned ND beats the odds by losing every week. Based on ND's credentials they should have won many games this year. Somethings got to give. How much longer can they keep losing games they should be winning? I say Irish by 10 against the Falcons.

That's one of the problems with the 2007 Irish, they are finding ways to lose games rather than finding ways to win games.

Back when I was in, I always found that guys still cheered for the team they liked before they were in. We all rooted for Navy as sort of a 2nd team, but I was still Irish all the way. luckily I was able to meet some fellow Irish fans at each command I went to.

Colonialhead ' there is Irish everywhere , hey germany, Ramstien is a big place i landed there a few times going and coming, 30 years Air force, BUT-lifelong IRISH FAN HOPE ITS A GOOD GAME WITH AN IRISH VICTORY THIS WEEK ANYWAY, as close as you , take a trip to Ireland . its the time of you life , just wish i could have gone longer , but did take the family on a trip to Holland Beautiful , belgium .
