Took the game out of their hands and put it in your selfish play-calling.

True to an extent, but the players were also crap

Not kicking the FG was a hideous decision. He deserves all the flak he gets for that

I hope Clausen learns alot from this season. With some good QB play, we could be competitive next season

This is a game where recruits are going to start looking around.

Why would they want to play for a coach who doesnt trust his players.

i know there is support around ND for Weis, but seriously when does it become time to maybe consider that he isnt the right man for the job?? questionable play calling could be costing this team wins.

IF Sharpley had not fumbled giving their D a freebie TD.

Who on our team can kick a 40 yarder? I don't mind the play calling. Our team looked better today so that is all I care about. I know it was against a subpar defense, but they looked better nonetheless! Everyone needs to calm down here, let the drinks work their way out!! :D

guys, get a grip. sure, there were some crucial bad calls, but i can guarantee you that its not selfish playcalling...its trying to win his way. I cant believe some of you would act as if other coaches (i.e Ty) couldve won us that game. Dont act as if you couldve won that game....i agree the non field goal call was stupid but "F U CW?" Get a grip...its called "class". if you think hes not the guy for the job say so in a different way

Navy was the better team, they deserved to win...Weis will take the blame.

Navy was not the better team.

Seriously, the way this year was going could you not see this coming. If it wasn't open season then, it's open season now. Look for recruits to start looking around. I wouldn't be surprise if we saw a couple of decommits soon. This is a crazy year. But i still love ND and that's why you play the games. ND has nothing else to do but to sit and take it. That is what an unprepared team looks like. ND wasn't ready on Sept. 3 and they weren't ready today. But don't jump ship. we all can get mad, but don't jump ship.

Ziggy, im sorry but i thought our offense looked a LOT less inconsistent and our D couldnt stop them. Navy played their hearts out today...and although i wouldve liked to win, i think they were bettter. Who won the game anyways? Usually its the better team, unless your JD Booty where you think the better team lost (i.e the stanford sc game)

and i dont see why recruits would jump ship just cause of one season...guys really. I can see why youre mad about the loss, but seriously its sometihng people have to get over.

last week Navy gave up 59 points to Delaware!

you cant lose to Navy. looking at the scedule prior to the season this was one game you should be able to put a W beside it in PEN becuase it was 99.9% chance that it would be a win.

how can those backers in ND football want to continue to support Weis when he cant beat Navy? i know Weis has done great in recruiting, but in game he takes ALOT of risky chances.

obviously he wasnt showing ANY confidence in the kicker. chance to take the lead. sure it would have been a long field goal, but atleast take the chance!

by going for it on 4th and 8 couldnt on argue hes not showing much confidence in the defence to stop Navy in OT? because Weis felt he HAD to go for it on 4th and 8 because if he went for a field goal and missed then they would likely be going into OT and the defence would have top stop Navy from 25 yards, and maybe Weis wasnt confident that his defence could do that, so he felt he had to go for the win on 4th and 8.

Nick hit it right on the spot.

The only bad call of the game was the fake field goal in the first. Did you guys see Walkers Face, there was no way he would have made a 40 yarder. We were better off taking the chance on 4th and 6. Either way the offense did its job aside from some bonehead stuff by Sharply who I'm not a fan of at all. We just couldnt stop that damn option. I was screaming to go for 2 when we made that last touchdown with like 4 min left. Going into OT with as good of an option team as Navy is just isnt a good thing. All of you fire Weis morons should just fill a bucket of water and still your head in for at least 10 minutes.

Ray, we've edited your post and this is a warning to just watch yourself. Remember Board Rule #9, don't personally attack any player, recruit,or coach. I know we all get pissed after losses, just control yourself.

I'm sorry, but the whole the better team wins thing, that sounds like "moral victory" town. If you want to be technical, Navy won with a QB who can barely throw the ball, and with a reptitive gimmick option. The critics will say Navy had more drive, I say ND pulled out huge 4th downs and fought with everything they had. Who won the game? Let's use some logic instead of the whole Pop Warner mentality there. ND converted 6/8 on 4th down, they were 9/19 on 3rd (Navy 9/16), Sharpley had a weak game and still was a bigger threat than a QB who only threw 8 times and had the enviable option of being a 3rd option, the rushing yardage is almost identical, for that matter so is TOP. I think you meant to say that ND looked a lot more inconsistent on offense not less, and that would be true. Even with that, it took Sharpley fumbling, and Weis' amazing 4th down call for ND to even guide Navy to OT. This is a game that Notre Dame gave away, and that is beyond dispute.

That said, no recruit worth anything looks at the W/L column without analyzing what went on. ND is young, and they have talent. There were flashes out there of what they could be in a few years, and with 2 5-star QB's in the wings waiting the sky is the limit. If I'm a competitive young blue chip defender, I'm thinking this is a great foundation and a great opening for me to come in and make a difference right away. Those tackles they missed, that speed they didnt have, that's my opening next year.

Not true. With 6:12 left in the game, and the ball on/near ND's own 30 with a 4th down and 12 to go, CW goes for it. Stupid call, and a miracle that ND got it. I came out of my chair on that call as well. Just because a call works doesn't mean it's a good call. CW made far more than one bad decision today. This loss was more coaching than playing.
