Posted July 29, 200519 yr We just offered Daniel Wenger. A center from Fort Lauderdale. 6 foot 4, 285. Seems to be a decent player but the biggest news could be that he is the teammate of possibly our #1 OL recruit, Sam Young.
July 29, 200519 yr I haven't heard anything on Young, but given his status as one of the most sought after recruits in the country and the amount of major programs agressively pursuing him, I expect him to announce on Signing Day in Feb. or sometime close to it.
July 29, 200519 yr Author He either came up with a top 5 or top 7, i don't remember which. but we are firmly in there. He said that his decision will have alot to do with how well we do this year. Nice thing about him is that he visited Nd and brought his family.
July 29, 200519 yr I heard something, but I am positive that I might not understand it correctly. In an interview with another recruit, that particular recruit said he was high on Fla because they had Carl Johnson and Sam Young coming in and forming a solid foundation at line and he wanted to be a part of that. There is no way that is true, but I'm just throwin that out there.

August 1, 200519 yr young will be the prototypical of. lineman who will wait till the bitter end to decide, do not expect anything different from Sam Young.
