thanks for the update calves. of the WRs left on NDs board i think gerrell robinson would be the mostlikely to commit to ND.

G. Rob or Baldwin. Baldwin has been pretty quiet in general, so I wouldn't mistake silence on the ND front as an exclusive trademark of his approach.

With the way Wanny continues to wade in mediocrity, not sure if Baldwin has faith - or for that matter should have faith - in Wanny's long term presence with Pittsburgh. Campaigns of 5-6, 6-6, and now 3-5 with four games to go - and 3 of them looking pretty tough (USF, @ Rutgers, @ West Virginia) can't bode well for his job security. Even at that, I think we're more accepting of his results than the Pitt people - they brought him in when the Big East lost their football big guns in BC, VaTech, and Miami, and expected an NFL-groomed coach to come in and pick on the little guys, and in the process return them to national headlines. And yet three years in, they can't handle UConn or Navy at home? At least Weis can bank on the equity he built up with back-to-back BCS births. Heck, Wanny hasn't even made it to a bowl game, and this year doesn't look any more likely than the last two years.

He'll probably get one more year, but beyond that...

Still, G. Robinson seems more likely than Baldwin, but I wouldn't say they're too far apart. Sort of a hunch I guess.

Don't forget Wanny inherited a team coming off a BCS berth and ranked in the top 25. He ruined his QB and they have NO passing game. They do run alot of multiple TE looks though.

Baldwin in a receiver. He will not talk to a school who is recruiting him as a TE. ND is recruiting him as a WR.

I know thats my point

I feel that Baldwin is more of a longshot than some people do.

yeah, i've been reading that he's really not wanting to go far away from home. i like our chances with gerrell robinson right now.

Well if ASU keeps this up in the PAC-10 he won't leave the state of arizona.

that might be true, i forgot all about ASU. ASU also has a verbal from QB jack elway, john elways son.

Yeah, their guys feel that Gerrell is already a lock for them. That was news to me.

Name:

Elway>Crist

Stars:

Crist(5)>Elway(3)

Overall ranking(Qbs):

Crist(3)>Elway(56)

Relationship w/ Robinson:

Crist>Elway

Not saying Robinson won't chose ASU, just saying Elway probably wouldn't be the reason why. Major factor would be Dennis Erickson.

Son of Man>Son of Denver Hall of Famer

hahaha...Nice one! Here's another one.

regular teeth>inherited horse teeth.

Hopefully the Irish will put on a good show when Robinson is in town. Im curious how much family will influence his decision. It would be real nice to have him on board.

I get the feeling this is a comment I could easily regret 5 years from now, but I really don't care who we get as a 3rd WR. I think I'd prefer Baldwin or G. Robinson in the long run - was never all that high on Walker, thanks in large part to my complete negligence of his highlight reels - but I feel we've got the answers we've been looking for in Floyd and Goodman. I think Goodman might take a year or two in the program before he realizes his potential, but I could see both him and Floyd getting significant playing time by their junior years. So, whoever else hops on board in this class? Gravy to me - I won't be picky whatsoever.

Totally off topic, but where was Golden Tate Sat.?? Anybody know?

he was on the field.

I must have missed seeing him for some reason? Did he catch anything?

No but he was running routes.

Calves I'm totally content with our WR's, I've actually looked at some of Walkers film and it's okay. It's not like Floyd's, but okay. I was never really HIGH on him, but I figured there had to be something about him if rivals has him as the #4 receiver overall.
