I'm Tired of...

1)no run blocking

2)being blown out

3)looking slow

4)turning the ball over

5)being excited about only giving up 2 sacks

6)being the worst team in Div 1 in how many categories?

7)excuses

8)CB's never once looking back at a ball when it leaves the QB's hands (Darrin Walls I'm looking at you)

9)grimacing every time we snap the ball.

10)rah rah we're going to get em attitudes. We suck...face it. Next year maybe, but in my 25 years of watching ND football we have never fielded a team that is this bad from top to bottom. It is in no way acceptable at the University of Notre Dame. You all make excuses or find positives...I'm tired. Purdue is NOT good and we still had the same outcome. There's no excuse. Sorry.

Ok, see ya later then.

If you cant handle 1 bad season you should just jump bandwagons.

We'll see how positive you are at 0-8    At least we'll always have Navy :!:

Not jumpin ship Jack. Just tired of the excuses. Don't you dare call me a bandwagoner BTW. Myself and my family have more history with this football team and University than you can imagine. I'm just tired of the excuses and moral victories. I'm done with excuses when we fail miserably against a team that is not very good. If you find comfort in moral victories then by all means ignore me and everythign I have to say. But I for one am DONE WITH EXCUSES. You don't have to like me nor my post.

I have been ready for 0-8 after the 2nd game of the season.

It doesnt bother me that much.

Honestly whats the difference between ND going 7-5 or 3-9 this year? Not a whole lot. The only things that sucks about this year is ND wont be able to end the ugly bowl streak, but that means very little to me other than fighting off ND haters.

Canadian...after re-reading my reply I apologize. As the topic says, I'm just tired...and clearly frustrated.

I dont blame ya, 0-5 is hard to handle, very hard.

I shouldnt call ya a bandwagon fan, and this year is all about taking lumps with a young team.

And then when you have Ty playing USC tight it just puts salt on the wounds.

However with all of the young talent I see on the field I get so excited, and throw in this great class coming in and the future looks bright.

So hang in there! This season has been ugly but the future is bright!

Domeanddomer I know you are one of the biggest ND fans, and while I am one of the biggest Homers/optomists here, I hope the team is as disgusted right now as you are. I go to law school with tons of scUM and msu alum and have to give those teams their props A LOT. I know we are stinking it up. I see each game as improvement for next year. I want to WIN WIN WIN every week, but I need to look at this from the improvement side. If i didn't i would be too depressed to get any of the mt.s of work i have done. I see what you are saying and it is a more than valid opinion, but its not for me because delusion is my savior. Again i hope our team is MORE disgusted/dissatisfied w/ themselves today as they have been this whole season. That said, the players MUST gain confidence and learn each week. If we keep improving on both sides of the ball, and eliminate STUPID penalties, then we can beat the teams on our schedule. usc...well probably not, BUT I'm watching them right now and they are not playing like well. We only have a .2% chance of beating usc, but it is a chance especially becuae they will be looking past us. How can they not? I respect and deep down agree w/ what you are saying...but i got that hope man...that hope rick moranis was talking about during his half-time speech in the movie little giants.

I, for one, totally understand how you feel Dome,,,,

We knew by the 3rd game what we have this year. Noone is disillusioned.

We are what we are and as fans, we can do nothing about it other than try and make sense of it all. Not excuses but we in our hearts wish we could find an excuse. Something, anything that we could put a definitive finger on and yell, "THATS IT"!!

Unfortunately, we cannot, so some take heart in the hope for the future by seeing improvement in every game. We then magnify the good things and try to make sense of the bad things. Alot of these bad things are not going to be fixed soon or even by the end of the year.

It truly hurts all of us and it cannot be argued that we all hate the current status of the program right now.

I liken it to we're like a paralyzed patient, and the reality of it sucks! But when you see a few toes move and even a leg lifted, to some, it brings great pride and hope. We'll get back on our feet again and run again as long as we keep seeing improvement. That is our hope. By nature we are believers in this program. Hell, even with almost 20 years between National Championships, we still believe. And that is where the "rah rah" comes from. The belief that is true and absolute that we WILL run again and it's the way for some to feel even just alittle better about the here and now.

For some like you, it hurts enough and is so sad that the "rah rah's" are just very annoying and almost seem very immature for the seriousness of our situation.

I really do understand Bro and we're all riding the wagon with you even through the mud!!

I hope you start to feel better about the team!

After todays performance (as bad as it was sometimes) I know I do. :)

I didn't mean to offend anyone guys...I'm just at a sort of breaking point I guess. I truly don't mean to offend anyone on here...we are the good guys afterall. I'm just so frustrated right now I'm pulling my hair out.

You're not offending anyone!!!!

We ALL know how you feel and I, for one, am just saying,,,

"Dude! I totally know how you feel!!!"

USC's looking like crap tonight too and Urban lost so we can all feel alittle better! LOL!!

For having an opinion? No offense taken. Like NDJoe06, I am also a huge optimist, homer and basic dreamer. I too have been a bit more fustrated with the course we are currently on than usual. I am not so nice when in the place I am more myself than anywhere else...(all you can eat oyster bar excluded). I rant, curse, yell and wish ill to everyone I hold responsible for our teams current short comings.

I am even further pressed into team related depression when I see Benn, Wright and Zembia on television with a more positive outcome than us? Oh well. It is what it is.

domer...you and I like many others have seen alot through the years. Following the Irish these past twenty five years has given you a lifetime of memories in comparison to most other fans of most other programs. But when we are winning...God there is no other franchise or program that can match the level of pride our fans ooze forth and proudly display than with us...maybe Yankee fan...but nowhere else.

But this passion I speak on also goes both way's. And for now...our pride is a bit for wanting. But it will return soon, maybe not soon enough...but if I close my eyes...I can hear the echoes of yesterday's past...and once again I remeber who we really are! :winking:

Great post Dreamer...I flew off the handle a little last night. This morning was a bitter morning for me (in no reference to alcohol). Yesterdays loss was painful to me because I believe in my heart of hearts that Purdue just isn't that good. The other 4 teams we've lost ugly too, at least they were good at the time we played them. I think any of those teams beats Purdue...even the fledgiling Penn State team. After all the hard riding that this squad got this week. After the embarrassment that they are to college football let alone the University. After practicing the hardest that they've ever practiced in their entire life according to John Carlson...they come out and have that rediculously poor first half against a mediocre Purdue team. It wasn't a talent issue because we outplayed Purdue in the second half. So somehow, after everything mentioned above, this team STILL managed to come out of the tunnel with their heads up their :censored: That is unacceptable at Notre Dame period. And, at least for this week, that is why I am so mad.

Im tired of giving up 3rd and 29 and stupid penalties.

Yeah...that one particular time after two stellar defensive plays backed them up...I was so frickin' stoked...only to let them off the hook.

2 years from now we will all look back at this season and realize that ND is a better team because of it.
