Think he would be a great addition, but no insight on him.

Probably depends on if he is set to graduate from OSU this year. If he won't graduate, then he won't be coming. ND doesn't take transfers after they've completed sophomore year (talking about all students, not just student-athletes), and it's very hard to get admitted to ND as a non-freshman transfer. Players who are freshmen will have an easier time (but still difficult) if they have taken the proper classes at their original school. ND is very stringent on which credits are eligible to transfer over.

He was a freshman in 2020 and played in every season at least 8 games. I would hope he’s near completion of his degree. He is considered a senior.

recruiting is not going poorly either (the class is hovering around #8).... Their 2024 class is just pretty much done and they are maybe after 1-2 more players. This late in the cycle, most players wont decide until after their playoffs and/or signing day. There are no rumblings of any decommitments. If the class ends as it is, I will be pretty happy; it is a very solid class.

Agree. Did they miss on some?  Absolutely. But I’m not sure a guy like Scott is really a miss. I’m not impressed by him. Also, I think they hit on a lot of areas of need.  Williams looks like an absolute stud. Carr is a qb ND has been needing for talent and depth. And so on..

  3. I always enjoy your posts @Frankus

I’ll have to disagree with a few things as I think they are a little disingenuous. Call these excuses or whatever. But I do think Freeman has been a dealt a bad hand in some regards.
For instance, last year Freeman had Pyne(which I just met recently) and Buchner as qb’s. We can blame him for not diving in the portal for one but hind sight is 20/20. Also looking back. Who was good?  That portal class for qbs really stunk. Freeman learned from that mistake and went and got one of the most decorated qbs in college history. He just hasn’t gotten the job done.

This year…look at the state of the receiving class. ND is now starting a walk-on lacrosse player. A true freshman in Flores. Greathouse, another frosh, has started and got meaningful snaps, and then a litany of injuries including your best receiver who is a tightend in Evans.
Blame that on whoever but it’s not like ND didn’t try the portal there. Smith the VT guy just up and retired after committing. So their is that.
Then who schedules 4 straight prime time games against top 25 competition. I’d love to see Saban and Bama do that. I doubt they have ever in his tenure there. That type of scheduling is insane for anyone. Let alone a first time coach and ND.

People can complain about Rees all they want but at least he was established. Rees leaving last second gave Freeman zero chance to hire a big time OC. He tried, something f’d that up. So he had to hire within. We’ll see what Freeman does in the off-season to negate this problem.

Now after defending Freeman I will say he isn’t without faults. Play clock management has been an issue. Going for it and controlling g the refs is another issue. On that note, does anyone else find it weird that the other teams ND plays are hardly getting flagged. It’s like this every game. Not even a hold or illegal procedure?  I’m not a conspiracy theorist but something is definitely happening here. I don’t remember Clemson even having a flag until the second half. Really?
Anyways, I’m willing to give him a leash for the time being. I’m not seeing Fuastian type losses by Freeman that looks like the team has zero clue on what they are doing.

-Tight end U! Hello Mitchell Evans.

-Merriweather is a bust. Where were Colzie and James?

-We looked gassed on the defensive line. We need to start rotating more guys in.

    Agree with #1

He shouldn’t be playing probably. Guys develop differently everywhere. He’s being thrust into a bigger role because of the wide receiver room. Flores will probably take over soon.

Always believe in depth on the d-line. Get Hinish more snaps. He did well when he did play.

As Faith said, we won. I don’t care how. They just did. Man, that was ugly.

I’m looking for the team to fit Freeman’s narrative: We have to play to our potential. If we do, we’re winning by 14. If we lose, there’s a disconnect between the narrative and the ability of the coaching staff.

in the end, all we need is a W and move on W by W.

Frankus, I’ve always enjoyed your posts.
You have followed ND for quite awhile. You know the administration and some behind the scenes type stuff.
In the past you’ve been critical of them.
With this regime do you finally see a difference?  Do you think Freeman is right for this job?  Can he take us to the promise lane in your opinion?

I learned that I am always right. We will never be good enough. ND fans you better come to the realization that all ND teams suck. Name Me a good nd team in the last 30 years. I will gladly wait. I am tired of this shyt...you can make excuses if you want this school sucks.

We have had some shitty coaches and one who couldn’t get his team up for big games.  I feel this program is moving in the right direction regardless of this outcome.

Yup! The moral of the story is Al Golden is a liability!!

frig those fans and that shit school.

Moving on. ND WILL get into the playoffs. Watch it!  Play pissed off and play hurt.

Kudos to JPP. He played his ass off.
    O-line. Hats off

Love is going to be amazing. Get that guy the ball as much as possible.
Defense played well enough to win.

Offense and the receivers need to keep getting better. Flores and Greathouse started asserting themselves.

the schedule still lines up with a ton of great games and a chance to redeem themselves and possibly meet Ohio State again.

    Go Irish and good night

  8. Ohio State 10-17 on third downs

    Brown two missed int’s

two missed pi’s on our guys

    Hartman’s overturn 4th for a first

    Missed field goal

Parker throwing it on the last series.

Morrison misse int at the end

    Golden predictable third down blitzes

why blitz Morrison, your best corner with a whole field and leave the middle of the field open for a qb’s best friend and easy throw. They had the game in control until then.
