This used to be the most exciting offseason day in college football. I’d refresh this page for hours looking for news. This is much more relaxing!

OSU pulling in these transfers has me feeling gross. They are going to continue to be at a different level.
it feels like it is going to be Georgia, OSU, and then everyone else

Gotta kick the tires on Caleb Downs don't we???
Off to OSU

Caleb Downs had ND in his final selections. What a dream it would be to get him! Some school is going to get one of the nations top Safeties for 2 years!
with Georgia hiring half of Alabama‘s staff, it seems like that would be the most likely destination.

Georgia also picked up one of Alabama’s great recruiters (Travaris Robinson) and made him co-defensive coordinator.
Kirby Smart earning his last name

At least change the header and replace Michigan with a bunch of *****
Michigan fans love it when it’s mentioned that an asterisk should be put next to this natty

Not sure where else to put this, but most of you probably saw that Logan Diggs is transferring out of LSU. I always loved that guy – hope he ends up in a place where he can be productive.

has the reading rusher behind the quarterback, I wonder why he is transferring

It’s amazing how poised Angeli has been every time he’s been given the opportunity. There’s also a factor that I love to see the “home grown” QB win out.
I'm hopeful that it is an open competition. If Angeli wins out, then that’s really good for ND! I also think it’s unlikely he beats out the 2022 version of Leonard

Let’s all appreciate Karen. 1,000 yards and 9 tds (maybe 10 before the night is over?) in 10 games this season. Proud of that kid!

This used to be the most exciting day on this board, back before the days of early enrollees, transfers, etc.
There would be a 20-page thread, waiting for those California signees, lots of anxiety, and some cheers along the way.
I kind of like the quietness at the present moment.
I feel we came out really clean from the transfer portal and recruiting, especially considering the early fiasco with WRs.
It is fun to watch the drama of the Georgia QB flip away followed by the safety flip from FSU to Georgia, etc

I definitely wouldn't kick my Miami (Ohio) wife outta bed for eating crackers.
"Right crackers?" - he says looking down at himself...
Miami of Ohio has a reputation that is better than Miami of Florida. Good for you IrishGuy.

ND lost 2-1. They were the better team and dominated most the entire game, but gave up a goal on a ridiculous 25-yard volley of a corner kick and then a counter attack in the second half.
soccer can be a cruel sport that way

ND won - they play Monday at 6pm eastern for the natty against Clemson. Most recent game was on espnU so I’m guessing the finals will be the same

I was stationed in El Paso for about 6 months. I hated it when I first arrived, but it grew on me. Of course, the Mexican food was amazing.
I was hoping for LSU or Tennessee or some other SEC team we could possibly beat up on. But, I'll take this over Kansas State.

Crazy to see McCord (Bucknut starting QB) entering the portal. I can’t imagine Day told him this early that he wouldn’t be the starter.
I personally like the concept of students being able to transfer. But I wish there were at least some guardrails

Noon game helps. This would be tough if it were a night game
Need the defense to dominate. what an amazing year they have had
Would love to see Hartman get off to a hot start

Surprised to see ND favored by 2

Going to the game with 3 dads and our 3 sons. Father / son time is fleeting with the boys being ages 17 to 21, but we've been taking them to an annual game for 10 years now. I'm so fired up! Though rain and wind will probably be in ND's favor, I'm looking for the perfect 55 degree, fall, sunny day 🙂
I'm looking to see how ND's defense stacks up against an elite offense. The defense (other than 2nd half of Louisville game) has been championship caliber all season. But, missed tackles will kill us. Arizona showed us the key to shutting down this offense - we just need to be able to wrap up Williams, which we weren't able to do last year.Offense - I want to see this game as a confidence builder. Our D can play elite, but we'll still need the offense to put up 30+ which they should be able to do against this USC D. Our O needs to be able to adjust our approach depending on what USC does.
Freeman shouldn't need to do much to motivate these boys - we should be coming out angry and ready to play against our biggest rival.
Go Irish!!!

The game was lost on that last offensive drive. We dominated running up the middle for the entire second half and decided to get cute.
That combined with “best offensive line in the country” not being able to convert on multiple 4th and shorts cost is the game

I used to feel that rushing the field should be saved for monumental victories. But as I’ve grown older, I’ve loosened up some.
so, most definitely. We should celebrate like crazy if we beat OSU!!!

Do you know who is nice? Alabama fans. I want to hate them but they are so friendly. I guess it’s easy when you’re winning all the time
LSU fans - on forums they sound like raging lunatics but every one I’ve met at a game are amazingly friendly and knowledgeable

Meanwhile, I am sure you are jolly and smiling pumping cash to the catholic church of pedophiles every Sunday. Dont feel 'Dirty' about that.
But, god forbid, The Gippers team have a grad transfer QB.
Lordy, give it a break.
Sexual abuse in the Catholic church is no joke. I am a practicing Catholic, raise my kids on the faith, and am the president of a cat holy school board. I sometimes find it hard to associate myself with the Catholic faith. The sexual abuse scandals should be faced head on and make us feel disgust, uncomfortable, and question things. But, my faith is tied to Christ and the Eucharist and so I tie myself to those beliefs and not in the failures of the institution. We should all speak out against it
There was an ND football player that committed rape. There was the death of Declan. And so much more. I still support the school and football team for the same reason I went to school there. It’s core values of creating good people in society. We should all speak out against it.
You decide to make light of it by using it as a personal attack on someone using an unrelated topic of Catholic Church sexual abuse. because he was questioning whether he should feel uncomfortable about a sixth year player on our team - your approach seems a bit childish and protagonistic.
let’s discuss this in the hot topic forum and leave the personal attacks out of it

Maybe not the "top 1", but the O-Line. If the O-line plays well, then Hartman and Estime will have the impact we need on the game.

Are Ohio St fans funding NIL due to Michigan's success?

It is crazy what they are doing. Pulling Chip Kelly from UCLA’s HC position. Bringing on, what feels like 10 5* QBs. Throwing money everywhere - to the amount of $10MM* to attract and retain players.
My hope is that this does not work, otherwise college football is only going to continue to get even more bonkers
