From Syewart Mandrel over at SI.com (Cough!)

You said last week (paraphrasing) that Jay Cutler would be the second quarterback on the NFL Draft board after Leinart. Don't you think some juniors might be bolting? Or do you really see Vince Young, Omar Jacobs, Sam Keller not in the draft, especially when Jay Cutler would be No. 2?

I've got to be honest, the only reason I used Cutler was he happened to be No. 2 on Mel Kiper's list of quarterbacks at the time. Not exactly in-depth research. Nothing against Cutler, but you're right, there will likely be several other names in that hopper by next April. The most intriguing would be Brady Quinn. NFL people are already drooling over him, and he would probably be a first-rounder if he comes out next year, but I'd be shocked if he doesn't come back to South Bend next season to take a shot at the national title. Another is Young, though I think he'll always have to fight doubts about his passing ability (even though he's basically shredded that notion this season). Keller is nowhere near ready, and Jacobs' stock has dropped a bit this season. Another senior QB with first-round potential though, is Brodie Croyle, whose arm strength is unreal but whose history of injuries may scare some people.
