Notre Dames possible downfall

Guys at DD I gave come from every site of ND that I know of. I did even post the BCS crap because that is ND news.

At the start of the year all of us here focused on Pitt. We knew others and USC waited down the line no one really discussed that. It was just Pitt then. Which is as it should be in one game at a time.

Coach Weis shut down all talk of USC. It is BYU. I really see no BYU chatter anywhere. To me it's like the Washington game. I was simply bored with that coming and couldn't get excited. I find that a worry that fans can't get excited with BYU. If it's a let down for fans I hope to God our Coaches who are equally disappointed can pull the team

Psychologicly togeter for saturday. New year starts we are 0-0. We need five games to run. Chatter now is making a bowl over games we have not yet played and opponents we have not yet defeated.

I find this a dangerous mentality to get into with five to go. I see a future opponent Stanford is only 1-3 what a kick for them to have Notre Dame show up not interested in giving 100% a bored fan base and no roar like ND had last week.

Their is another credit to Coach Weis. He had our normally unvocal fans screaming their heads off. We need to still do that each and every game.

It's the relious wars, Mormans vs Cathoics again and they have done pretty good against us. The 3 3 5 is seldom faced, even Weis admitted that.We haven't had a win in our own house 2005 in front of our own fans. That's more reason to get worked up and want a scalp.

The casual fan might slip away off our bandwagon I'm here with you guys.

We are on a roll. Go Irish! :D

Coach of the Midseason - Charlie Weis, Notre Dame. Tulane's Chris Scelfo deserves special mention for being able to field a team that's even remotely competitive under the trying circumstances they're going through. Weis stepped in a rough situation at Notre Dame and came a few inches away from being in the mix for the national title. His winning-is-all-that-matters approach is sweet music to Irish fans' ears. Have you noticed that New England isn't exactly Super Bowl material this year? The loss of Weis has something to do with that.

I had the same worries about coming out flat, but I think Charlie will "rally the troops" just fine. The 3-3-5 is a rare look, but I dont see them keeping it most of the game. The look is beatable and screams to do what Charlie likes to do, be patient and nickle and dime them.

Its only natural that some fans are looking ahead to what Bowl game we could get into, and some of the players are probably too, but they shouldnt lose focus this week.. we have a lot to play for.
