Yap all you want, Irish apologists, about Notre Dame's strict academic standards. Meanwhile, your football coach will continue to load up one of the nation's best recruiting classes.

Rivals100.com's midseason recruiting rankings

1. Texas

2. Georgia

3. Notre Dame

4. LSU

5. UCLA

6. Auburn

7. Florida

8. Pittsburgh

9. Clemson

10. Ohio State

Rivals100.com released its midseason top 10 recruiting rankings, and somehow Charlie Weis is landing blue-chip recruits all over the country.

"He's winning on the field and in recruits' homes," says Rivals100.com recruiting analyst Jeremy Crabtree, a frequent contributor to the Sporting News.

Rivals has Notre Dame ranked third in the nation behind Georgia and Texas. The Irish already have commitments from five-star tailback James Aldridge and five-star defensive back Darrin Walls.
