Very good news, I expected this over the weekend, but glad he finally committed. I really feel Gaines is underrated, mostly because he is coming from the Vegas area which isn't exactly a recruiting hot bed. Also, his official 40 time isn't eye-popping, but we all know how valid those are anyway. By all accounts, he seems to be a hard-hitting, defensive LEADER. He reportedly plays balls-out, wire to wire. With the right coaching, and Mr. Mendoza doing the physical sculpting, this kid could be a star.
