What a complete joke ...in no galaxy is Man -Child not the recipient...    all these position awards are ridiculous these days anyway....it felt like the entire notoriety and legitimacy of the heisman trophy disappeared after the likes of Jason white winning it in 2003...... 

And now after man child not winning the mackey ...its like who cares who wins what anymore ...there isn't any legitimacy ..

Man-Child?  I’ve never heard anyone describe Mayer that way.

 

I thought Mayer would win, but Bowers isn't a bad choice.

Thought Mayer would get the nod given his class, and Bowers is a soph. 

Mayer will be the 1st TE taken this year, and Bowers will be the 1st TE next. 

Mayer should come back and be the first Tightend taken and cost Bowers money for this crap. Then tell him sorry, blame the people choosing the awards for your financial loss. Ha

Bowers had 819 yards rushing/receiving and 9 combined TDs

Mayer had 809 yards and 9 TDs.

Really was pretty even statistically speaking, but to me considering the amount of attention Mayer receives on a game to game basis and the difference in arm talent at the QB position, makes Mayer's resume is more impressive.

They're both pretty even...of course the nod will go to the player on the team competing for a title.
