Surprised this hasn't been made yet being the game is tomorrow.  Is everyone really this down in the dumps that we don't have a gameday thread by Friday?  LFG IRISH!

Pyne does just enough and Estime/Tyree continue to surge. 

This game is the turning point in the season and I think some fans, like myself, have nervous energy. If ND loses, they are 1-3 and going to play a BYU team with a ton of experience. At that point, a bowl game looks unlikely. 
 

If we win, we have all the momentum into the bye and I think we beat BYU. ND’s d line should dominate UNC and we should move the ball, however I’m not confident we will. That’s a problem. No matter how bad UNC’s defense is, I still don’t know if our receivers can get open or if our QB can get them the ball. 
 

From what we’ve seen of UNC, anything less than 35 will be a massive disappointment.

I'll take it!  We're not going to need style points this season.  Just play well enough to win the game.  Keep building on the positives from week to week.  That's all we can hope for going forward.  Try to learn from and then forget the negatives.  "Be a goldfish"

I'm wrestling with this one. On one hand, I like the way ND played in the second half against Cal - truly dominant on both lines of scrimmage. And that Cal defense is good to very good. I think ND will have more success offensively - but they absolutely need to establish the run game early. If UNC stacks the box, Pyne has got to make some throws - we cannot dink and dunk our way to a win here.

I think Drake Maye (UNC QB) is really, really good. He was recruited by Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, etc. And it shows - he leads the nation in TD passes, I believe. However, he is a RS Fr playing against his first legitimate opponent (UNC's offense beat up on Florida A&M, Appalachian State, and Georgia State in non-conference). Their OL has been really, really bad the last few years - we ate them alive in South Bend last season. They have a lot of talent at the skill positions - this will be a very tough test (although, not as tough of a test as Ohio State).

I think it'll be close either way. It really depends on: (1) does the OL from the second half of Cal show up; (2) can Pyne get in a rhythm early; and (3) can the secondary hold up as well as they did against Ohio State. 

My head is saying close loss, but I'll go with:

Haven't watched a full game since OSU because it was prime time, been trying to get sleep Saturdays with my schedule.  Yes I am somewhat down on football in general, just not in the mood too much else going on.  BTW everyone be safe this weekend.  Somethings in the air, not sure, but am uneasy.  God Bless.

ND has a 24 game regular season winning streak vs ACC.... didn't realize. Pretty good.
