The fact that Chris Tyree was a focal point this past Saturday was a strong positive for me.  That needs to continue.

We now need playmakers to actually play at the WR position.  Guys who can separate and give Pyne someone to throw to who will make a play downfield.  Tobias Merriweather is that guy, well from what I read.  I am hoping to see him get out there to show us what he can do.  Go IRISH!

Think he played a bit vs Cal. I'll try to verify

Merriweather played this last weekend.

It also sounds like he didn't know what he was supposed to do on the "early snap" play that Pyne just happened to catch with his armpit.

Where coaches talk about trust ("traits") with Freshmen, and why they have trouble getting on the field and players like Saleno play, this is why.

Looks like he was supposed to be the lead blocker on that QB Sweep, because he blocked right away up top. Rees has alot of NFL scheme in his offense and the motions can be alot to pick up. I kinda doubt it was a Jet sweep to Tobias. It coulda been that play-action half roll play with Tobias that they ran with Mayer to start the game too.

That makes sense when it comes to freshmen.  I have trust in Freeman and this has to be viewed as a long game.    Im in it for the long haul  🙂  GO IRISH!!
