I think his timing clearly speaks to this recruiting cycle, though.  Not coincidental on his part.  I was excited.  He's a player!  AND he's trying to bolster this class because he gets it!  Bet he's pinging OL and 2023 targets! 

This 2023 class is different, better than the past BY FAR.  And they're still ND-type kids.  They're coming as a group.  Divas can head to 'Bama.  We're building team.

Justin Scott seems to be just what we need a big highly rated DL. But after reading the article the other seven schools are in his final list for football reasons and ND for academic. Hmmmm….I know nothing about this kid but it appears ND is only there because it is the PC school.

Well if he lists ND for academic reasons then hopefully next season helps this kid include it as a football reason as well.

Did you expect him to list Harvard, Stanford, Northwestern, Vanderbilt? 

He's a top DL in the class. Feel good that ND is in his list which has schools noteworthy for football and/or NIL (of which ND can claim some of both). 

Not to acknowledge that ND may have a NIL headwind to overcome in this case.

Lol…..I said I was happy we made his list. But after reading his rationale for the 8 teams that made his list the other 7 were team’s reasons were football related and NDs was the only academic related…..I just felt our chances were not good…that’s all.

There is a large number of visitors attending for Junior Day. All EEs from 2022 will be on campus too.

Agree with this completely. And it's been reported NIL is big for him. Now, whether that's an acquisition fee (which ND reportedly does not do - see Keeley and Moore), or opportunities once he's on campus (ND is solid there - see Mayer and Hamilton) is an interesting question. I don't think ND is in a good spot today, but that can change. 

There is actually some high end talent in the Chicago area in the 2024 class, and ND needs to take advantage.

They’ll get the twins, but I’m feeling Hayes to Florida. They really need Scott and Lindsey plus one more Edge Rusher. Lindsey is listed as an Edge, but no way he plays there in college.

No, Scott, Williams and Betencur are the only high level (top 100) players. Betencur is going to Clemson.

Florida can’t even pay its current commits….  How are they going to pay for others…
