My question is: Does @ELDER06 find this thread offensive? If Elder does I will lock it and warn the appropriate parties not to start another. I enjoy talking football and so does Elder, and this is a football thread.

I didn't think you were offended. I've posted with you for years. I do apologize for not asking you earlier. 

I don't post, very often but enjoy reading the different points of view, that are posted on here.  One thing I will say with 100% certainty, is that Rees will regret not offering Brady Allen.  Brady was a lifelong Irish fan and was dreaming of coming here.  However, they passed for some reason.  Mark my words, Brady will have an outstanding career at Purdue.  He is better than any of the QB's we have in house, IMO.  Just watch.

You must be a relative. He is better than Angeli but nowhere near the talent of Moore or Vizzina.

No Elder, I'm not.  I do know him quite well, though.  My statement was better than what we had in house.  I have my opinion and stand by it.  This kid is special.

You’re biased and Buchner has a higher ceiling. 

A higher ceiling based upon what? 

Biased?  Not hardly.  I can talk about his arm strength, athleticism, experience, physical stature, mental makeup and make my case.  Buchner has limited experience due to injury and Covid.  He has a motion that is inconsistent and is, so far, a 1 trick pony.  I hope to hell, he turns into something special, but there is gonna have to be a TON of development, for that to happen, IMO.

If you are trying to troll me, then at least make an attempt to support your argument with something other than I'm biased.  I only stated my opinion and am willing to discuss any of the attributes that I feel Brady has, to support my opinion.

Buchner is more athletic than Brady. His HS film is way better as well.  

I agree golson, but better athleticism doesn't equate to a "higher ceiling", IMO.

I never said at this point in time he was better, only that he had a higher ceiling and that’s true. Buchner was not elite 11 QB and while he may not have the pure arm strength, he still has a good arm, mixed with far better mobility.

This is real life, not the movie Rudy. Take your fairytale bs elsewhere. Allen’s other offers were from Rutgers, Wisc, IU, Cincy, Kansas, Va Tech, WV. That’s not at ND’s level, sorry if that offends you, but ND is out to win games not fulfill your dumb fantasies.
