Does anyone really understand this?
im looking at former Irish players Micah Dew-Treadway and Elijah Taylor both got to come back this year for a “seventh” year. Add the fact that Avery Davis could come back for his 6th.
Again, how does Coan not have any eligibility left?  Can someone explain?

Jack cannot play anymore due to relatively good health and some bad timing on his part. In terms of the NCAA, he has played his four "full" seasons. NCAA has granted waivers where a player has suffered multiple season ending injuries but I do not think that Jack has that type of situation. The Covid year also did not count but Jack was injured so could not take advantage of it.

2017 Played in 6 games

2018 played in 5 games

2019 played in 14 games

2020 which would be his bonus Covid year, he was injured and sat out all year.

2021 played in 12 games

wow, I didnt even think of that. What terrible timing for Coan to get an injury.

That’s just dumb. Because he got injured during the Covid year he loses a year. But everyone else is afforded that year because they weren’t injured?

Maybe NCAA didn’t want to promote guys just sitting out last year. That might have started a real mess. I know Coan situation is different because he was injured.
