I need a break if anyone wants to do the split stats please be my guest.

Basically these indicate that  ND is scoring better(more on offense, allowing less on defense) than their national statistical ranks would indicate.

So I would assume our redzone defense and turnover margin are fairly good and our points per yard of offense is pretty

good.

As I thought, long way to go. Defense is trending better then the offense

you know, it says a lot that our offense struggled during the first half of the year and still had the 20th scoring offense nationwide. The run offense does not surprise me, our running game was never really there and if not for Kyren making his own yards, it could have been a lot worse.

It is also interesting that our defense was 9th overall even with that terrible FSU game that never should have been that bad in the first place. Just another piece of evidence that Prevent Defense is useless.

These numbers were good enough for Swarbrick to keep the Coordinators(elevating Freeman). I can see why the trends are good.

One had the numbers the other had hearts. Statistics lie at times. There are things that can not be quantified.

Welcome to domerdomain!

While that is true, because the heart cannot be quantified, we have to go by the numbers, which is what most players are drafted on. However, that is why certain players (with less talent) become fan favorites. The fans who see them every week know they have heart and root for the guy.
