After 5 weeks, will Kelly stop grab-bagging at the QB position?

Only one. He knows he only has one at this very moment. Pyne. Buchner just isn’t ready and Coan is probably a head case at this moment. 

After reading this:

“Virginia Tech is the top sacking team on Notre Dame’s schedule (16th, 3.25 per game), including the five opponents it has already played”.
 

Jack “the statue” Coan should not play a down against VT, IMHO.

With that said I voted for just 1. I’m 100% behind Pyne……for now.

I voted 4 figuring that Matt LoVecchio probably has some eligibility left. My money says that Kelly will push LoVecchio's wobbly butt out on the field himself for a critical fourth and four situation.

Per Kelly in this article sounds like just one QB.

If so, would it would be the first time all season that he only plays one QB?

I predict he won't be able to help himself with Buchner unless he's trying to preserve eligibility.. So 2. 

I expect kelly will just go with 1 QB.....and i expect that will be Pyne.

Its really not a hard  choice IMO......undefeated season is gone,,,,,coan has had trouble commanding the offense fpr the last two.....Pyne played pretty well and was under stress in both games coming in cold and in a bad spot......last game kelly didnt even tell drew he was playing in the second half till they came out of the locker room at halftime....Indecisive much!

In addition both the fans and the press have been asking for Pyne.   If kelly starts Coan and he struggles it puts kelly himself in an awkward spot.....

Pyne needs to get a chance to start,,,i expect he gets that this week.....how he plays though is anyones guess.

That is what I have seen floating around. I hope it is wrong, we'll see. 

I think 2: Coan/Pyne and Buchner will continue to get snaps in certain situations, as he should. 

 

Voted 2.

IMO, Coan is the better starter if the OL is decent.

Pyne if the OL sucks

VT'd D looked good the first 2 games, but not near as impressive the last 2. WV seemed to pretty much handle them on both sides of the ball. 

Not sure they mix in Buchner a lot. Perhaps if Coan looks good, and they just want to run a few package plays. If Pyne ends up coming in to relieve Coan though, doubt we see Buchner.

If that’s the case I am done with this staff. If they go with Coan I have no clue what they are watching.

He’s not coaching for a job so I would put the odds close to 40% he actually goes with Coan.

also I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s benched by half time.

I think it’s important to gauge who the team thinks has the best shot to win.

not much worse fir the morale of the squad when the guy taking the snaps doesn’t give the guys confidence. 

I picked 2 because I don’t have faith that Kelly will stick to just one but who knows. Coan can’t move and Buchner is not ready. 

I’m really bummed that it took us 5 games to figure out that other O line is not very good and Coan is a bit statuesque in his approach to the game, but it is what it is.

Perfect time to give Coan one more chance. Not everyone will be watching because it’s on the ACC network. Won’t show the ignorance if this coaching staff sticks with Coan. 

Well I couldn't watch the game but I saw posts that showed Coan played.  I also heard a brief part of the game in the 3rd quarter on the radio while driving and heard Buchner get a few plays.  Saw on IG that he got his first TD run.  So, did Pyne play too?
