Beyond getting past 6 wins the record won't be the measure of success this year for me. The Irish need to Develop players.

This is gonna take patience guys and might get ugly

Yes I'm talking less Coan Madden would be told thank you but our younger guards need reps now, Same with Lugg to a degree, Wgite, Avery Davis. Its like an  Baseball  team who knows they are out of the playoff picture.

You might be saying Faith your giving up its 1 loss.

 

ND is nowhere near 200 and 200 on offense, my keys over the years. We can throw for 200 but get no where close on the running game

 Players I'd like to see more regardless of production..

• More defensive backs( As Cali pointed out, Hamilton is a high draft pick)
• Kollie
• Spindler
• Colzie
• Pyne
• Thomas
• Alt
• Tosh Baker
• Buchner only if they make him pass
• lets go deeper at running back too.

I agree. This year is gonna be hard, might as well prepare for the next. Next year we have more issue that could arise. Hamilton gone, oline still weak (recruiting is not great right now). SO might as well try to coach up what we have.

Thats a good thought too. Heavier rotation at safety.

Bertrand is a Sophomore eligibility wise?  Did you mean Drew White maybe?

It’s crazy but without Hamilton we probably have 2 more losses. I think the end of the BK era is gonna end poorly. He did just enough to feel safe and now his buddy hires are back, they will be his downfall. 
 

We aren’t recruiting enough five star talent and it shows. Who on this roster could even sniff the field at an Ohio State, Georgia or Bama? Mayer, Hamilton, Foskey….. that’s all I can think of.

I think the running backs are good, but the OL is so bad you can’t see it.

ND had an embarrassment of riches in the past few years. Meaning BK has done the Mike Brey route of red shirting and having a senior laden class. Which is what you almost have to do at ND. The problem is what happens when you don’t or the class all leaves at the same time. Which has happened. You either have to of had great recruiting classes or really developed your guys. 
I think we are seeing a little bit of all three. 
The thing that scares me is Brey has been here too many years. He’s fallen on deaf years. Too comfortable. This may very well happen with BK. 

My rebuttal to this post is some players can have more negative effects by playing early and not being physically/mentally ready. A lineman can get other players hurt, a QB can have confidence issues etc.

It also sets precedence to the players that if the team isn’t as good, it doesn’t matter if you actually worked and earned that starting door for 3-4 years. Best players play. If it’s close, split with the young guys.

My regardless of production verbiage was a bit strong

 

I guess I go back to what  Brian Kelly said at hallftime, If you don't play to the standard, YOU DON'T PLAY.

 

I'd like every competition on offense re-opened.
