  • Hope he goes to FUSC so our d can shut him down for the next 3 or 4 years.ย  Lincoln Riley is a fluke and we are going to continue to own them.ย ย

  • Oh, heโ€™ll get his. But we will kick their ass because Rileyโ€™s teams are so soft. If the Iowa Stateโ€™s of the world can hang and beat his teams then Iโ€™m pretty sure ND will have success.ย

Any experts heard rumblings of CJ's commitment wavering? Would be a tough loss as we have playing time available at the WR position and this kid is polished for a hs senior.ย

Being covered in the '22 recruit thread

I feel like seeing his highlights is a cruel tease right nowย

ND degree, light WR competition and a CFP window ahead.ย  Why leave?ย  Especially for a school rebooting.ย ย

I think OSU is probably the most likely spot, over USC. I could even see a case for Bama and TX.

Colzie, Styles, and Merriweather aren't really light either. I agree we're probably thinner than a team like OSU and Bama, but we're probably sitting with better talent than TX and USC right now at WR. And sometimes rebooting is attractive to kids.ย

OSU offered him before ND, and he visited OSU a week or so before his ND official.ย

The USC and UCLA visits are just his last two officials IIRC. He's been to Stanford and TX too.

I really hope we keep him, I think he will be a great college player.

Yeah I don't think osu is involved here.ย ย

Now I see why Williams was looking into USC again.ย  I would hope that the ND staff asked him point blank before accepting his commitment, what happens if USC hires a big name coach?ย  Not to say that a guy that age should be able to speculate but you still have to ask to see if you have a solid commitment or not.ย ย

Kelly is out on the left coast recruiting this week after the Stanford blow out. I am sure he will be in Williams' living room with his parents to seal the deal this week,

Freeman needs to start working on his SC game plan against CJ Williams and a bunch of other top 100 receivers, as long as SC has Lincoln Riley they will have the best WR corps in college football.ย

Passing game hasn't been a problem for SC since forever. Agreed that getting Williams is important for ND but they'll continue to have a load of talented receivers out there (and QB's to sling it to them), no matter how many top 100 WR's we pull in annually).
