Just watched some film of Milton from the FSU spring game, this young man has been through injury hell. I hate playing vs a competitor like him to open the season, maybe not at the Heisman chasing level he played at previously, but he made throws in the intermediate level that most guys can't make with touch and accuracy.

Hope Freeman has the boys ready to get after him, their line should be a weak point for us to exploit.

HI Welcome to DomerDomain!!!!!!!!!!! Milton Brings them alot of experience. FSU played 3 QBs in spring like ND did but as with us I doubt they take a grad transfer unless they project him to start. FSU was very busy in the transfer portal including our own Dillion Gibbons.

So I project Coan vs Milton in a closer game then people think. I just hope it doesn't have USF vibes of years back. ND should win but I remember that thunderstorm delay too well after Crist v. Rees to be confident, its a tricky opener.

Very tricky opener, Coan (likely starter) is going to make or break many fans attitude towards him the rest of the season in this one game.

Agree……and to a lesser extent so will Marcus Freeman. FS can not be taken lightly. A lot of fans expect and easy W. So if anything else happens then an easy win, fans will be looking for someone to blame. And who else ( besides BK of course) better to blame then the QB ( transfer at that) and the new million dollar coach that has been seen walking on water. Hey nothing against Coan and Freeman I like them both. But the crazy fan base will need some big fish to fry.

They’re basically putting Milton in Memphis’ old offense that went toe to toe with UCF all season and in the AAC Championship.  Could be dangerous, but my guess is we have the athletes to stop a more gimmicky offense like that by knocking off their timing and pressuring Milton.  I’m not really worried about FSU.  In fact, we have a pretty weak schedule this year aside from UNC and Wisconsin.

Its good that ND now has an AAC defensive Coordinator in Freeman who has played Memphis quite a bit recently. Cincy beat memphis soundly last year but lost to them twice in 2019 when Norvell was there, now at FSU.

Yeah, Memphis lost a step when Norvell left, but you’re right.  It’s good to have a coordinator who has seen a lot of AAC film for FSU.
