Oh I completely agree it’s bad if we miss on Moore from a lot of perspectives.

CJ Carr is who I was referring to. I think most ppl assume Meatchicken but sounds like ND has a fighting chance.

Honestly I would of went with the safer pick in Vinizza if he was a for sure get. I like taller qbs anyways. If you miss on Moore then you are really screwed if Buchner doesn’t pan out. With Vinizza you have a possibility of a great one and at least a bridge qb for the following year. 
Im also not in love with Moore. Can’t put a finger on it. If he chooses ND I’m all in on him. If not, this was a big gamble.

ND is in the Will Shipley boat from a couple years ago in RB recruiting but now with QB and this time they actually lead. I wish ND had brought in Vizzina to visit earlier this spring. That just seems foolish to me. Now they must close and then lock down Sayin in the fall for 2024.

I don’t get the whole omg it’s Dante or bust! Do you want to win championships or get blown out? If you want to win it takes major chances like this. People please don’t complain the next time they lose by 30 to Alabama. Remember it takes a top Qb to win

I just hope the staff is really emphasizing to Dante just how significant an early commit could be in terms of bringing in additional recruits and solidifying a roster that can compete and help him look even better. Understandably, he deserves the chance to take his time and make sure it’s right for him, but if we’re in the lead and he eventually commits anyway, the opportunity cost lost in recruiting from these few months could be huge.

Because if they don’t get Dante, we’ll have to settle, at best, for a second or third tier QB. Which means we continue to lose to the Alabama’s of the world by 30.

im not blaming them for shooting for the Dante’s of the world, it’s just risky if u swing and miss.

Do you think Dante told them he's coming but that he still just wants to take visits for the experience?

No.

I think Dante genuinely doesn’t know where he wants to go and is exploring every opportunity he has available to him. He doesn’t gain anything by silently committing to Notre Dame - especially now that he’s literally their only option.

Sure. I think everyone gets that. IMO ND had a great opportunity to have both visit and prioritize two but also giving Moore the edge. They could have flat out told Vizzina that Moore had priority because he’s local and they knew about him first so they keep their word on those types of things. If the kid doesn’t like that then fine but the up front opportunity they had seemed reasonable. Just my thoughts.

I would agree but I think ND is definitely his leader right now.
