I feel like ND goes through this over and over with either offensive skill or defensive speed/skill positions. WR/RB/CB in particular

RB has been answered. They a.) changed position coaches from denson to taylor

                                               b.) made weight/size exceptions

c,) let them play regardless of experience. Kyren had next to none, Tyree had none

CB- a. Changed Coaches from Lyght to Mickens

       b. Committed to larger corners

       c.  Letting younger guys play. Looks like it, though they tried for a transfer

       d.  Results ??????              Looked good in spring but that doesn't matter

WR- A. No coaching change

        B. not sure who is playing.. We know Davis, Keys.. Lenzy has flashes.. Austin i'm wondering where my hope vs reality metric will land

        C. lots of slot WR and few big outside receivers.. Need  Wilkins/Styles/Watts Colzie to step up

        D. how much can Meyer cover up?? A big TE  lined up outside the numbers allows you to play probably all 3 of, Keys, Davis and Lenzy. but thats still a band-aide formation

I can't help but think if this year ND doesn't see a homegrown receiver make progress a position coaching change and a plan going forward may need to be addressed.

My answer is to stop taking high floor, low ceiling WR recruits.

Unfortunately there always seems to be one position group where there are struggles. It used to be DL

I feel like we have had bad luck with WRs as well. Kevin Austin being the big example here. He had the package to be our next big name WR, but last two years he has been out of commission for one reason or another. Stepherson could have been the next Fuller, but we all know that didnt work out.

I like the young WR crop, but ND needs a true speedster, someone that can run a straight 9 route and burn a Safety in Cover 2. Xavion Bradshaw could be that guy, but they still need to land him.

How do we know they haven’t? Need  a QB that can throw that ball. The reason the WR was decent enough last year is they could run good, crosses. curl and out and in routes; and they had good hands.

I highly doubt Bradshaw’s coming. He or Nd cancelled his visit. I think walker and/or Merriweather  can do that. They are both big, but can flat out run.
