Finally...

This would make me want to get a new system. Haven’t since the last NCAA came out.

Few things things. Of course this happens when ND has unproven qbs. Going to have a 77 rated player (who knows if the game will have real players/teams). Next, here’s my money! Sorry work, sorry family.

It should have real players, that was the whole point of the image licensing.

Unfortunately , ND is not a part of CLC licensing so that could be a huge stumbling block. But I am very excited that it is back.

Seriously. Get the F...out!!!

Exactly my thoughts. Just in case they get sued again and they never produce anything again. At least it will be on a pretty good system

I will be curious about a few things:

Β

1) When will it come out? It seems to be a 2022 release

2) Will only some schools be licensed and others not?

3) Will they be able to upload "accurate" rosters of each team? This was big on the last few games; "accurate" roster files were ready on the first day.

4) How will they upgrade the recruiting process in the game? I love that part of the game, but it is now almost 8 years old.

Dammit, now I have to buy a new console.

Just scanning the article quickly. They just started talking about a year ago to get it back up. Some kinks need to be worked out. So more likely 2022 as you said. Also, CLC licensing as someone mentioned. So, they have about 100 FBS schools that will be on. ND I don’t think is in that group...Also, they are in belief that a new rule will be passed where kids can profit off their name in college. This, allowing them to have updated rosters and to be exact. We shall see. Just don’t let O’Bannon and some kicker from ASU near the damn game.

The National Championship is programmed to be the Crimson & White game every year with Bama playing itself, regardless how well you build your dynasty...

Like every other college fame, they will secure individual rights for Notre Dame to be included.

I haven't turned my Xbox on since my daughter was born 5 years ago. This may at least make me think about upgrading to the new unit.

Looks like ND said no for the time being. LIC(sp) rules. Apparently waiting for the new rules to see if players come profit from there names. I’m going to be one pissed amigo if Swarbrick doesn’t alllow ND to be on this game on a new platform.

I’m not...he’s advocating for our players.

Exactly, this is a good thing for ND Football.

I get that. It is my all time favorite game and for it to be on a new platform with the graphics, recruiting, etc. it will really suck to not play with ND. I guess North Texas football here I come.

Honestly, I've thought this the entire time. EA should build a game that has the colleges, but make all the players exactly the same attributes. Then, make the player changes open source and allow users to import attributes that they build themselves or that others build in open source forums. Then, EA is off the hook for liability.

Will that make it easier for people to not buy each year's version and just update the players for free each year?

No, because you were able to update rosters in the earlier games as well. They are still modding 2014 with up to date rosters.

Right. I think the only thing it would affect would be if they introduced something newer to the game. Say, training regiments. What if the game made you actually have to take courses haha. Well not actually take course but made it where you had to attend class to stay eligible. Those SEC schools would suffer.
