looking for any ray of hope....stands full of football fans is about as likely as Trump admitting a mistake....but there is serious talk of a 100 game baseball season, played without fans, 100 games or so....starting maybe july….

If they try that and if, and that's a big if, it works out....tv ratings providing enough revenue,,,that could lay a blueprint for a 10 game football season, played without fans...with maybe a 12 game NFl season also played with adjustments

Its a mess I know...and maybe a long shot...but it would cheer everyone up no doubt about that...

I know I shouldn't be skeptical about a game played without fans as long as it is played but I am. The psychological effect of the empty stands might be worse than not seeing the games at all. I guess we will see, I certainly would prefer not to miss a whole season of ND football.

Theres no reason the NFL can't play their 16 game schedule if they go with no fans.

Ufc, nascar and golf are going to get the ball rolling.

NBA and MLB will follow

Truth. Very childish

I couldn't care less about having fans there. No sports until next year will be far, far worse than a severely muted atmosphere.

Just treat it as an one off anomaly.

I can see it now - the advent of the sanitizer ball.

Hardly childish, especially when it is the truth.

Aww the Trumpers are triggered.

Serious question...who really follows 100 games. No game is really meaningful.... That's why I don't watch anything except football and college basketball...with so many games, no game really matters, so why am I watching unless I'm just interested in sitting outside and enjoying the crowd. If you can't do that, who cares...

I watch every single Blue Jays game... regardless of their place in the standings...

Why even add anything political? Politics aside, I live near Tampa and some guy was on the radio this morning saying he owns a security company and he signed a contract with the NFL yesterday to provide 500 security guards for the Super Bowl, so the NFL def thinks they are going to have a season.

I try to watch every Cubs game that I can. That's the way it is...

Another question I saw on ESPN and it got me thinking.

Greatest Blue Jays homer?

Carter

Bautista

Alomar Jr.

I watch the Yankees when I'm able to, usually catch at least a few innings of just about every game. Joe Carter without a doubt IMO.

Good thoughts about sports, Hawaii, but the reality is college football needs fannies in the seats to produce the revenue stream it needs to generate the dollars needed for a given university's other sports programs. Without it, they are dead in the water financially. On the other hand, the NFL can do without the fans in the seats due to all the revenue systems it has in place, and I am not just talking about TV.

Carter’s wins a World Series so it’s hard to top that. That Baustista HomeRun capped the craziest baseball game I have ever witnessed.

Aww the Trumpers are triggered.

No Trumper here.

No Trumper here.

The Biden crew can't remember what was said yesterday let alone put together coherent thoughts... Hahaha. Bring in Jill Stein and Ross Perot!

Just pump crowd noise in from the stands and you’ll never know the difference when watching on tv

There’s already several large universities that have announced they plan to proceed as usual in the Fall. Notre Dame athletics will be fine bc the Alumni/Boosters have deep pockets. However, the non rev sports at schools with less resources are going to be hurt.
