she did such a great job turning around the program (even though she left two NC on the table). nieli ivey imo I s great hire and I expect her to do great.

 

33 years on the job is insane, she came in the same year as lou holtz.

It will be interesting to see how things go. Losing a hall of fame coach no matter where the program is at is tough.

 

I am not that close to the situation, but I thought that it was odd that we had all those transfers the last couple of years of some potentially key role players that depleted our depth.

Maybe having a younger coach that's closer to the pulse of the youngsters will be a good thing.

Our recruiting has been OK, but not superb like it had been.

 

I know it is hard to replace an entire WNBA team, but she really should have been better prepared for that.

She soured the experience a bit at the end by allowing the uninformed political bs from the teams. Hope Niele stops that stuff, but I doubt it. Is she still with Javin Hunter?

I agree with that Wave. I really dislike hearing public figures' political views. Just act, sing, coach, whatever.

She was way too vocal these last several years. Great coach, but I didn't care for the political activism.
