I was bored this season

Not like I think you care. Just thought this season was boring

Agree, I tape delayed and ff’d through THREE games - after not missing a game for 31 years (save for an Air Force game that was on some obscure network twenty or so years ago).

I’m happy that the season was this type of boring. Boring because ND has finally reached a plateau of beating the teams it is supposed to beat.

I would prefer the excitement of a season in which ND does that but also beats elite teams.

It’s nice not to have the excitement of ND losing to teams they should beat handily.

I was not bored at all. Disappointed we couldn’t beat Georgia and Michigan you bet. Even more upsetting was watching our performance in the Michigan. But I was not bored just screamed a lot at the tv.

For the record I watched every game and attended every home game this year.....and I plan to watch the bowl game on tv.

I’m debating the bowl. If ND plays Texas I may just have to go. They’re generally good fans but there are a LOT of them.

I’ve never experienced them, but I hear Ohio State and LSU fans are the worst.

The Clemson fans at last year’s Cotton Bowl were great.

I saw multiple T shirts that said the pope raped boys. OSU fans are drunk and classless.

I was at the game at Clemson wearing full ND gear. I was treated with respect by everyone I talked to and was offered food and drink by Clemson fans at over 10 different tailgates.

I actually stayed in Elkhart this year. Elkhart has about 12 hotels most fairly new right next to the toll road exit. Most are big name hotels I.e they’re just finishing the Marriott courtyard. For the last two games of the season I stayed at the Candlewood Suites for $60/ night. Candlewood suites have full kitchens and there is a Martin grocery store right across the street. So you don’t have to go out for dinner every night or try to find a restaurant after the game. I found that the same hotel in south bend/Mishawaka was significantly higher as much as $50 - $100 / night. And it’s only a ~20 minute drive from hotel to campus.

So you didn’t abandon the team about three years ago when they completely sh!t the bed? I did, because they weren’t even playing up to their basic star level. They didn’t earn my viewership, time away from kids, or ratings... Surprised yall stuck in there...

That’s where I stayed for the Virginia and Boston College games..

If you have small kids, the Amish Country Inn out in Shipshewanna is awesome.

No, I guess ND or more specifically ND football has become such “big” part of my life I can’t stop now even when they are down. Growing up in a Irish catholic house has a way of making you become an addict. Yes a few years ago I was down but going to the games with other ND nuts like myself we commiserated together. I am fortunate I have been able to attend so many games. Without those other ND friends around me to cry on their shoulders I don’t think I could have watched them.

This season was boring because this acc setup sucks. We play 5 weak acc teams a year which offer next to no history or excitement. Add that Stanford and USC were down and navy doesnt do much for me the only games that mattered were georgia and michigan. And we lost both, one in embarrassing fashion so I tend to agree with you.

 

But dont get me wrong it's also because they're finally beating teams they're supposed to beat on a consistent basis.
